That's what I was thinking. The last thing he's probably thinking about is what specific material the toggles are made of. It conflicts with other Ford staff.

I mean, you can SEE the difference in finish just by looking at these pictures. There's a chrome bezel around the instrument binnacles, the cupholders, and the shiftboot. Even a small ring of chrome band covering maybe >5% of the shifter head, and little chrome guards/dividers between the toggles.

But the toggles and HVAC/volume knobs look like aluminum with a pearl metallic finish.

When you touch them, flip them, you can tell it's not plastic/chrome.

I don't know about the 2015 Mustang but in the 2005-2006 $160K MSRP Ford GT's the toggle switches LOOK like they are aluminum but all of them are, in fact, plastic. Ford's come a long way if they failed to order them up on the Ford GT, but equipped the "lowly" Mustang with them.

One thing is for Sure.... If Ford was shooting for the authentic aluminum look/feel, they certainly hit the mark.

You guys can't stop arguing about it. Is it real, or is it Memorex..?

Yes they are real aluminum, I wish all the other metal shiny chrome looking parts had more of a brushed aluminum look. For example the interior doors have shiny door pull handle and then underneath a matte aluminum door handle/pull on the armrest? then we have bright chrome metal rings around the gauges and then more bright shiny cup holder rings on the center console.

These are some minor details, I hope the aftermarket will offer these parts in a matte or brushed aluminum finish.

Doesn't matter one way or another all that silver shit is too much. The base interior switch gear is smarter and better looking.

Pretty sure that's the minority opinion around here, but you are entitled to your own taste. (Orders on this site are running about 6:1 premium:base according to the poll.)

For me, I chose the Premium despite preferring cloth and being iffy about MFT, mostly because the Premium looks so darn classy. The base is fine, better than last year, but it has a lot of buttons and has a "Welcome to 2005" look.

I'm sure we'll all be plenty happy with our choices.
