  1. Cool Tech's 350/350R Brake Duct Completion Kit

Sorry we don't get over to this forum very often. Regrettably, we don't have a GT350 and have not been able to get test data on the deflectors we sell - but there should be no doubt that airflow over the rotors is improved. Further, airflow is a key ingredient in cooling so the only question...
  2. 4-Point GT/GT350/GT350R Roll Bar Close Out Sale

With somewhat of a heavy heart we have elected to exit the roll bar business. We started making roll bars in 2012 with the introduction of the Boss 302. These roll bars were what we believed to be best-in-class and we sold a lot of them. We were one of the first to purchase a new 2015 Mustang...
  3. Used R on Bring a Trailer

I've been a GT owner since ordering and receiving my car in 2006 and I have closely watched prices throughout the last decade. The GT prices were very briefly at MSRP and a few of them sold at a discount below MSRP but the prices NEVER had a downward trend as you indicated. It's possible that...
  4. Transmission installation?

This is common as others have said. You need to tilt the motor back to allow more room. You can do this by jacking the front of the engine but you need to do this very carefully as you DO NOT need that much force to cause the engine to tilt down in the back.
  5. Anti-Sub belt mount

The ideal solution would be to have a slit in the seat just in front of your crotch area that allows the anti-sub belt to pass up through this opening and the opposite leg(s) to be secured through the floor pan with a properly sized backing plate. If you were building a dedicated track car this...
  6. Cool Tech Roll Bar Install

His name is Barrett. Not sure if he posts here on this forum or not. I have total admiration for his mechanical skills and can-do attitude.
  7. Cool Tech Roll Bar Install

Thanks Ken - and some good advice all the way around. I wish I could say that installation was a cake walk.... and it would be if this was a race car and no interior trim to worry about and weld instead of bolt, etc. Much easier to do a race car than a street-going car where owners...
  8. Cool Tech Roll Bar Install

Thanks again to Ken for his installation photos. The installed roll bar is perfectly vertical and the installation process really prohibits you to get this wrong. The base plates for the main hoop "fix" where the main hoop attaches. The downtubes will now dictate the "angle" of the main hoop...
  9. Cool Tech Roll Bar Install

As the beam going across the car is literally un-drillable, our installation leverages existing OEM holes already in the beam. The challenge with this is getting access to attach a nut to the backside of the bolt. To accomplish this we use "nut sticks" - see picture below. There are gaps in...
  10. Cool Tech Roll Bar Install

Inexplicably, I don't have any good pics of the main tube base plates on the car - but here's a picture of the Passenger-side baseplate held up to the beam of our BendPak. Note that the actual beam on the Mustang is maybe twice as wide. Also, when bolted in place on the Mustang the top plate...
  11. Cool Tech Roll Bar Install

Muligan - Many apologies for my delinquency in addressing your questions. I simply don't get to this forum as often as I should. Regarding the installation. There are two primary components in the kit - the main hoop assembly (with diagonal) and then the downtubes. Let's discuss each...
  12. GT350R/GT350/GT Roll Bar Kit by Cool Tech

Just received a new batch of roll bar kits for the GT/GT350/GT350R! We have the most popular color choices in stock now. Ford Race Red, Metallic GunMetal Gray (like the 2013 Boss 302 Laguna Seca x-brace), and Satin Black. In addition, we have several completed but un-coated bar kits awaiting...
  13. Wide body GT350 spied.

Wow! I've never seen a Mustang with running boards before!
  14. Loose Rear End on Hard Braking - Fix?

Same here. Really gotta start losing some weight.
  15. Loose Rear End on Hard Braking - Fix?

If it is consistently sliding the same way under hard braking, you should have the alignment checked.
  16. Engine light - low coolant temperature

Typically a P0128 is issued when the PCM thinks the car is taking too long to warm up. The intent is that it is trying to detect a malfunctioning thermostat - one that is stuck open. So, it could either be this or, possibly a bad sending unit itself. (Frankly not sure if there IS a coolant...
  17. Cool Tech Roll Bar Install

Unfortunately, no. However, I believe this has been covered in older threads but in brief.... The main hoop is attached to the reinforced (high strength steel) beam that runs across the car at the front edge of the rear seats. This beam is literally un-drillable - so attachment options are...
  18. Cool Tech Roll Bar Install

A few weeks ago we shipped out one of our roll bar kits to the nice folks at StrictlyFords in upstate NY. They were kind enough to send us a couple of pictures of the install which I have included below. The customer chose a satin-black finish for this car. I think there are several...

  20. California Smog Test Failed

In California it is illegal (by law) for any dealership to change or tamper with any of the emissions systems of a new car. Other states may or may not have similar laws. Because of this, CA will REQUIRE the emissions test of any vehicle (even if it is brand spankin' new) brought it to the...
