No way! clean tires have no shine. So something that just seals the clean tire and prevents anything sticking to them without making the tires shiny is a cleaner look. Shiny tires are like hair drenched in Brylcreem. People thought that looked great in the day but they were wrong. Same with shiny tires. Don't be the last to know. ;)
I used to like the wet tire shine look but now just a SOLID RICH BLACK is what I like just recently though lol

I guess I'll chime in and say I've used Meguiar's Endurance high gloss. It doesn't attract road dirt and lasts a few weeks. It also doesn't dry out your sidewalls like other products.

I always go for Barrett Jackson Tire Shine. Its at Walmart--haven't found it at an auto store yet. It can be anything from satin to super wet depending on how you apply and how much.

Biggest pro for me: its WATER BASED. I apply it directly to the tire, let it dry, then do a swipe around each with a sponge. Perfect shine level for me. I also have seen no sling so far whatsoever.

I prefer matte black finish with no shine. I've been a 303 Aerospace fan for a long time and still use it on the interior, but switched to Black Fire All-in-one trim and tire protectant for the exterior. I find that it gives a deeper matte black finish that lasts for several weeks.

I use 303 as well for the sidewalls - nice matte black look - and interior plastic. Some great suggestions here tho, maybe I'll try something different next time!

I use plain armor all in the little pump bottle (easier to control the spray) and wipe with a rag so no sling. Makes tires black without the lubed look. I like black tires not chrome tires.

Poorboy's World Bold 'N Bright Gel. Gives the tires a dark satin sheen, doesn't sling off, and lasts a long time. Love that stuff.

Adam's Polishes VRT. Best stuff I've used on all rubber, plastic and interior trim. Gives a rich deep look without the greasy mess. And it wont cause tire rot like some of the other stuff. I've been using their stuff since I got my Camaro SS delivered in 2009. Used it on my '67 Fastback, my 2011 Rubicon, my 2012 Challenger SRT8, 2015 Yukon and now my GT. If any of you are ever in San Diego I'll let you drop by and try the stuff. I buy it by the gallon. Worth every penny.

Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel, does not fling, you control the amount of luster depending on the amount of applications you choose, long lasting, does not harm tires like Armor All. (Through that crap in the garbage per Uniroyal/Firestone engineer)

I have tried numerous brands, still haven't really found one that doesn't at least partially sling or else the stuff is hard to work with and expensive, also have yet to find anything that lasts more than a few days.

TuffShine lasts for many months and is incapable of slinging anything. Its essentially a clear coat paint for tires. I didn't believe it was possible to make a clearcoat that could flex as much as a tire sidewall, but it definitely works. The amount of shine and undoubtedly the lifespan depends on how many coats you put on. It's applied by hand with a sponge so easy to apply. Road dirt and brake dust easily wash off with mild car wash solution.

The downside, and it is not a small one, is the prep work. The tire must be absolutely clean before applying it. They sell a cleaner but you can use anything that gets the tire completely clean. It takes multiple cleanings/rinsing and considerable scrubbing to get a tire clean enough to use TuffShine. So you have to be pretty hard core to go thru all that although, since it lasts for months, it saves a lot of effort you would otherwise do at every car wash.
