Tuf Shine.

I did not believe the concept which is a clear coat for tires. I mean tires flex a lot so how could a clear coat not crack?. But it does work. Anything that gets on the tires comes off easily with whatever you wash the rest of your car with and the tires look exactly like when you first applied the product. The stuff lasts at least 6 months with a single coat which makes tires look just like they are brand new with no shine. Extra coats add as much shine as you want.

The downside is the tremendous amount of prep work. The stuff only sticks to absolutely 100% clean tires. You can use anything that doesn't leave a residue to clean but they sell their own cleaner. It takes a lot of work to get a tire perfectly clean and to get the area right next to where the tire rests on the ground you either have to move the car slightly or do what I do which is clean and use the clear coat when the tires are off for rotation. But be prepared for a LOT of scrubbing. You may have to scrub the tires 3 or 4 times before the suds stay white as snow.

Since it is an actual clear coat that is flexible enough for tires, there is no slinging.

If you have the time, this is the ultimate for tire appearance.

If you like high gloss, try Turtle Wax tire shine. It is an aerosol that dries to the touch in minutes and my last application lasted 6 months! Looks like it is wet all the time but is dry to the touch, doesn't sling and when you tires get dirty you just wash them. No reapplying needed. If you like something with less gloss or natural looking, Duplicolor has an aerosol. The amount of shine depends on how many applications you apply. The Turtle wax is wet with only 1 application. All can be found at any parts store. Duplicolor can go from a new tire look all the way to wet. Both last for months. People will swear your tire is wet. But when they touch it, No smudges or greasy fingers.
Good luck with this stuff. It appears to be a clear acrylic paint like liquid. I put it on some tires and after awhile it started to crack and yellow.I had use steelwool to try to get most of it off.Total garbage. You want to use water base products only.

I have been using the Turtle Wax product for 3 years now. I have to reapply it about 6-8 months in. No cracking or yellowing. Cleaned tires before initially using with Bleach White. Let them dry and then sprayed. No extra steps needed. My cars are garaged every night though and do no sit in the weather 24/7. In the last 2 years I have been going thru the car wash instead of hand washing and still good. Showed this stuff to my dad and he applied it over not so clean tires with white letters. Still shining after 1 year. It kills me he applied it over dirty letters but he doesn't care and every time I would clean his truck for him, he would hit every dirty spot on the road home or go thru the field. Old school. He says it is a truck not a show car.:headbonk:
oh and when the tires do get dirty don't scrub with a brush. Just a rag or sponge will do with car wash soap.

You obviously had better luck with this stuff than I did. I put it on fairly new tires on a '12 SS.This car also was garaged and not driven much. Perhaps I had something incompatible on my tires b/4 spraying.
They never did look right afterwards.

I've been using Gtechniq T1, I've been satisfied with it. One "coat" gives the tire a "brand new" look, and not greasy at all. A second application will give it that "shine" look. I prefer the brand-new-tire look myself. It seems to be lasting a reasonably long time, but it's not super cheap. I think I paid $15 CAD for it at our local high-end product shop, it's only about 8 or 9 bucks for an even bigger bottle of cheaper stuff at the big box stores, but I trust the quality products from the detailing store.

JUST SAY NOOOOOooooooooooo !! I hate tire dressing, always gets all over the wheels & fenders :tsk:
If anyone puts it on my car @ the dealer, I make them wipe it all off before I leave.
sorry, to me a car isnt clean until it has some tire shine, I prefer a low luster, no sling shine, I use and swear by Chemical Guys Silk Shine, stuff is amazing!

No way! clean tires have no shine. So something that just seals the clean tire and prevents anything sticking to them without making the tires shiny is a cleaner look. Shiny tires are like hair drenched in Brylcreem. People thought that looked great in the day but they were wrong. Same with shiny tires. Don't be the last to know. ;)

I like Silk too. I use it on my interiors and it's the best yet. My motorcycle seat and bags get Silk also.
