I love new tyre day!

Remember to de-nib the sidewalls for full effect.

Even on brand new tyres, you will still lift a lot of junk off the sidewall.

Tires are nib free. Either the ECS02 doesn’t have them after production or my friends at Discount Tire did it for me

Quick picture yesterday evening after a little wash. This is post Ghost, about 3 weeks, washed at least 4 times with foamed brake buster only. Scrubbed hard and rinsed. No additional toppers applied since. It holds on amazing if prepped properly.

Snuck in a car wash on Thursday, (we're in water restriction status,) didn't get caught and used very little water. Makes me wonder, do the self-serve car washes today recycle their water? I doubt it.

Anyway, had the chance to try out the new foam cannon from Raincovo and the new, lightweight gun from Zebra Clean. The latter was a breeze to use, easier on the hand than the Kranzle gun.

But Lord have mercy that Raincovo cannon put out some serious, uber sticky foam and I love the easy to use controls.

It didn't run even a little bit!

Try Stoners Tar Remover
I didn't have any Tarminator Brian but I did have a bottle of ReTyre which did the job.

Scrubbed the rubber pretty aggressively and got 90 percent of the old Ghost off, leaving a few, tiny glossy spots. Thought about doing all four tires again and decided I was too worn out so once they were dry, they got another coating.

MUCH better result and if it holds up as well as I think it will, (and you guys have said,) I think I found a winner.

Here’s mine KB. Did it Friday evening. A few glossy spots, that’s what I get for doing it in less than ideal light. Ah well, I’ll touch it up next wash.

I usually try to do a lot of reading on DFBs threads , I don't wash or shampoo the Mach regularly ( but she did have a salon day last week shampoo and all ,before they applied the PPF ) here in the Desert the only thing is dust , no road grime very few bugs , so I do take her up ( every 3 or 4 outings , Car Shows , Cars n Coffee, Cruise In action ) to the self service Car Wash and pressure rinse the dust and finish off with spot free rince and hot air blow dry , then finish off with Adams Graphene Detail Spray .

When it comes to the Tires I use 303 Protectant , I think with better than advantage results. I was using Griots Garage Tire Protectant Satin formula, til my Jacuzzi guy recommended 303 for the Jacuzzi cover 5 years ago. The cover looks very good for being exposed to the UV rays daily and the extreme heat May to October, so I switched to 303 on the tires and so far I think it was a good move . I know there are a lot of good products, by DFBs recommending spread sheets . Thanks for the information .

303 is great for PS4S because its super subtle and levels the finish very nicely. I need to give it another go at some point.

Here’s mine KB. Did it Friday evening.
Looks great, Mark. After cleaning my tires properly, Ghost gave me a much better result. I don't know yet whether or not I will stick with it but obviously, this is a worthwhile product.

What did you use to remove the old Ghost? Did you use the same on the wheels? I think I have a little on a couple of edges of the wheels.

James: I used Carpro ReTyre.
Any really good tire cleaner (AKA CARPRO Retyre, ADS Tire, P&S Undressed, Shine Supply Wise Guy), all of those will remove MOST of it. Then a good wipe with a tar remover or mineral spirits will kill off the rest. I love Stoner's Tarminator. Just soak a rag (disposable, it is trash afterward) and wipe vigorously. It will bring it down to bare rubber in a heartbeat. Then wait a few minutes and you are good to apply Ghost.
