It’s been a long time coming but I’m finally back!

2021 Oxford White Mustang GT 6MT 301A

Don‘t have any plans laid out for it yet. Unlike my first two, this is a daily driver. May do some little mods here and there but I’m just happy to have a GT back in the driveway.

Had to go with the sales rep for the first fill of course to make sure it got 93, and to keep with a new tradition I started with my 15. 😁

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Tint scheduled for Tuesday followed by a cut and buff and full ceramic coat. I’m doing everything this time around, paint, glass, and wheels! That will be my mods for the winter unfortunately. Then see what the spring brings!

First thing officially done lol. I still had some white accent striping from my 15 in my toolbox lol. Sometimes I’m glad I don’t throw some stuff away. Just enough left to outline the infotainment center just like on my 15. :muscle:

Tint is done. Kept it NC state legal so I don’t have to worry about finding someone to pass me every year. Came out great and still looks pretty dark on a white car from most angles. Next is full ceramic coat on Friday. Then I got an oil separator and shift knob on the way and that will be it for winter.

Oil separator installed. Just kept it simple and went with the pass side only JLT 3.0. Had the first gens and seemed to do ok on my 13 and 15. Ended up switching to the Mishimoto kit on 15. If I remember correctly the Mishimoto was supposed to be the better setup with higher capacity at the time, but was also a pain to get to without undoing the mounting bracket to empty it. Looks like some updates were made to the 3.0 and I like the JLT better for ease of emptying it.

Got an RTR shift knob from AM on Black Friday for $30 but it was not even worth that. If you’re gonna produce a shift knob with no jam nut try to get the threads close enough for it to remotely line up. Loctite only does so much. It was off by 180°. Loosening it that much and expecting loctite to keep it secure is ridiculous. Not worth my time to source a jam nut so it’s going back. The stock one is nice enough and a good size and weight.

One thing I realized I didn’t miss is dealing with after market stuff and often being disappointed with results or the install. Kind of looking forward to just enjoying the car as a daily driver and not constantly dumping money into it and working on it.

Ceramic coating getting done tomorrow.

May not be able to answer but how do the two cars compare as far as the ride and handling?

Looks 👍

My 15 was a PP my 21 is not. I have not pushed my 21 yet so I can’t speak to handling in that aspect. But I can say my 21 rides much smoother than my 15, and I chalk that up to not having the PP this go around. That was by choice, the 21 being a daily driver (my 15 wasn’t) and I don’t care to track it I didn’t want to spend the money on the PP and I am enjoying the more comfortable ride and less expensive tires.

Congratulations! What a great feeling to have a new pony in the driveway. White is a very underrated color. Blackout emblems would look awesome!
