Not sure if this is how it's supposed to work across the board, but the throttle mapping in Sport+ mode seems a lot more aggressive than Track mode. Is this they way it's supposed to work on these cars (I have a 2021 GT PP)?

In Track mode, the car feels more revvy and the throttle more granular/gradual. In Sport+ mode, it feels more responsive.

Seems almost backwards ....

When I went to the Mach 1 Track attack they spoke regarding the different modes. All sport+ mode does is give more throttle input, basically making it more snappy. Normal and Track mode are linear, They don't add the extra throttle input because in track mode you want to have a linear throttle map so you don't spin out and it is more predictable.

I remember when I tried Track mode I thought the same thing, felt slower. But it just feels that way because your throttle is not as snappy.

Sport+ is fracking annoying in the GT. Except if you drive an EcoBoost where the extra throttle is helpful to get the turbo earlier, or if you chose the slushbox.

Thanks for your reply!
If you don't mind me asking, what do you find annoying about the Sport+ mode in the GT? or put another way, why do you find it annoying? I ask because I generally prefer Sport+ when I'm out driving on the weekend. I don't track the car.

why do you find it annoying?
Throttle blipping for rev match and general clutch/throttle coordination.

You drive a slushbox so missing out on that joyful activity.

D5 or D4 doesn't matter

The throttle mapping in Sport+ and Track is identical.
There you go again confusing us with facts.

Btw, what year car/ecu did you examine? I do think there have been changes on that front.

I need to get my readouts going again

I'd assume a 2020.

But my understanding was, 2015-2017, Track mode had the sensitive throttle, where as Sport was less sensitive. That flip flopped in 2018. And generally matches what GM did in their 1LE. A friend who tracks his 1LE and his brothers 2017 GT said the throttle on the GT, in track mode, is very touchy comparatively.

Just anecdotal, I know. But figured I'd throw it out there.

Vlad, thanks for sharing, would love more info on where you got the mapping because I'd love my Track mode to be more linear.

2020 GT M6
It used to be like that before I changed it and made it linear in all modes. I didn't like the artificial boost it had in Sport+.

It's from HPtuners. The interface is a bit pricey, so it may not make much sense to buy it just for this purpose. Any tuner worth his salt can easily adjust the throttle mapping to your liking.
