So I found two different throttle bodies for the car…

> Ford 9E926-A; which seems to sell in the ~$350 neighborhood.

and…

> Ford Performance 9926-M52; which seems to sell in the ~$200 neighborhood.

They both claim factory 350 replacement. So what’s the difference between the two?

So, good article but that stil doesn’t clarify the question. BOTH of the TB’s I listed are advertised as factory 350 replacement. That would/should imply they are both 6 pin (as I garnered from that thread) analog replacements. If one of the two I listed is digital, like you said the 9E926, then why is that one listed as a 350 replacement. They shouldn’t list it that way, right?

The referenced article wasn't for GT350's, so the information probably isn't applicable. In that thread, @bauern clarified which part does what, and as he said, any GT350 throttle body will work on any GT350. Other Mustang variants generally don't have GT350 parts in them, even if they're functionally the same.

Why do you need a new TB in the first place? Just curious.

Sooo, I have a Soler TB…my third Soler TB. I guess the best way to put it is I’ve lost confidence. Every time I drive the car, I’m waiting on it to start acting up again. I’m paranoid of the idle and everything else. Unfortunately, the first go, I had them do the mod on my stock one instead of saving it on the shelf like I should have. I want a back up. I want a stock one to put back on it to check my paranoia. I’m also gonna go with a tune in the spring and might want the stock back on for that.

No issue. Like I originally said, just trying to learn the difference. And for the locations I shopped at, $304 vs $180 is not what I would call “price point about the same”. Prices seem to vary a bit on this item.

I was referring to the price point of the links I posted.

So I still don’t have a 100% “this is what’s going on” answer, but after continued homework and talking to a couple peeps, this does seem to be a Ford vs Ford Performace with the exact same part (and not a digital vs analog part). I have the Ford Performwnce one otw so we’ll see. Guess you’d have to buy one of each and compare to get a definitive comparison, but not doing all that. Makes sense as I have seen this comparisons with some other parts. The Boss intake on my 197 car comes to mind. The factory Ford intake for that is $5XX+ and the Ford Performace one is just barely north of $200. Exact same intake.

Soler sent me an analog version to test out and it was not compatible with my 2019 Bullitt which has a digital signal. Here is a video of my car with the analog tb installed.

I ended up sending Soler a new factory one (bought from Jegs for something like $275) to port to 91MM. I had one issue with the blade sticking open and shut and sent it back for an adjustment. It’s been working great ever since.

Got my Ford Performance (not Ford, the cheaper one) in the mail today. Appearance is bone stock and it is a 6 pin plug.

So if someone wants their Mustang to sound like a lawnmower with a burned out muffler you recommend a Soler throttle body?
