LOL I don't fit into any of the categories you mentioned. Not a collector, not a stoplight racer, last Ford I bought was 1986, and I don't plan on tracking. I just like the car, especially the engine.
I agree. JB350 that's a pretty narrow and cynical view of why people bought this car. While I'm sure it describes some I highly doubt it describes most.

There's track fast and there's street fast. The GT350 doesn't get fast until you're over 6000 RPM, and 6000 RPM on the street is extremely difficult to do legally. It's track fast, not street fast.

Street fast cars have low end torque which gives one the illusion of speed: incredible acceleration from light to light, but often not much above that.

If people want their GT350s to be street fast they should look at new rear gearing.
Maximum torque is at 4750 RPM, as I recall. It's pretty flat from 3500 to 6000, after that, it drops off but still generates HP up to the redline. See attached shift analysis I did a few months back.

I find using compressed air on those nooks and crannies saves me a lot of time while I'm drying the car. Blow out the front grill, head lights, hood vent, side view mirrors, along the bottom of the side glass, around the tail lights, behind the rear license plate, wheel lug nuts and the rear grills. That keeps those drips from re-appearing after your done and keeps that unseen dirt out.
Master Blaster air dryer is the best Christmas gift I've ever gotten. No water in any crack is safe. I use it to dry the whole car. No shammy scratches ever.

Short list as there is much to love

1) rear bumper gap
2) sometimes going into 1st feels rubbery
3) weight. I don't feel it unless I'm autocrossing but I know it's there.
4) keeping the wheels clean but fully understandable considering the awesome braking
5) Ford dealers
Try Brush Hero for the wheels. Changed my life.

1. The 3-piece splitter design.
2. The crappy rear bumper fitment.
3. The crappy bumper parting line finish.
4. How quiet she is in 6th.
5. That I can't lift the driver side wiper up while washing.
6. The finger print door trims.
7. Poorly installed carpet around the seat brackets.
8. The fact I couldn't get Recaros with the Tech Pack.
9. Why are the floor mats plain? Boss floor mats had a logo.
10. No track key.

As you can see, just nit picky but the devil is in the details.

I just came from a 2016 Performance Pack GT to a 2017 GT350/convenience package.

Yes, the GT was faster off the line, and overall the driving experience is honestly pretty similar for day to day daily driving. However...between the sound of the Voodoo motor opening up and the way it slams you in the back of your seat at 3500 RPMs...man you can't keep the smile off my face. However, here are my gripes between the two, and mind you these are totally First World Problems.

All the additional safety technology built into the premium GTs like the blind-spot indicators, the rear camera collision detectors as well as up front collision detectors.

Adaptive cruise control. OH. MY. GOD. WHY has this not been standard on every car built over the last several years?? Knowing you can set your cruise control and a spacial distance between you and the vehicle ahead and actually relax because your cruising is CONTROLLED on the highway versus constantly going up or down in mile an hour increments because everyone else isn't using theirs, or theirs is slightly different, or someone cut into the space in front of you. Seriously, unless you've had this you have no idea what a convenience it truly is.

Things that when you've never had them (as I didn't before my 2016 GT) you wouldn't have opted for the option because no big deal right? Honestly I expected Ford's most flagship Mustang to at least have the convenience and safety features of the lesser models. I was truly surprised when it did not.

I keep telling myself "because, racecar," but son a bitch, I really wanted adaptive cruise. It's SOO nice for driving in those areas where traffic fluctuates 55-75mph and you're driving distance. Lots of mountain passes up here...I'm convinced people don't know what cruise control is.

That's exactly it. YES, it does exceptionally well on the track (though I don't know it first hand, I've had mine since Friday night is all), but hell, what percentage are any of us track driving versus commuting or highway driving? I would have gladly raised my monthly payments by $11 to have these features back.

My self i have spent more time on track than the street. And if you take a look at how many track the car you would be surprised. I personally am glad ford did not add things that that did not help on track. This car was designed FOR THE TRACK! all thes extra systems add cost and weight.

It is kind of weird that they offer heated/cooled seats then. Interesting where they chose to draw the line.

I wonder if there was nowhere to put the radar unit for the adaptive cruise on the GT350 nose. Or if it was just a decision to leave it off because of what you are talking about.

It's cool you've spent more time at the track, but I'm guessing you are in a very small minority of owners that has achieved this track to street ratio.

Is is? Some people believe that unless the buyer opted for the "track package" with coolers than it's only a street car.

I personal believe Ford Performance certain had a price points to meet and that means somethings don't make the cut.

I agree 100% Which is why Ford offered several configurations to meet said price points. I purchased a TP because I knew I would track the car. I am glad Ford did not add fluff to the car to appease the masses. Actually, I wish ford would have given me the option to remove items to give me a better price point, but that is not the case.

I just wish that Ford hadn't joepordized the integrity of the car's performance by removing the coolers.
