2016 GT350 production statistics so far

I wish that were the case but most likely all R allocations for 2016 are filled by now by either customer order or dealer order.

I can tell you from my own exeprience, there are a slew of R orders without VINs, signifying they have not been given the go ahead for build.

So basically, if you weren't scheduled before the Christmas Break, you have to wait til the 1st of February to see anything move from the "Unscheduled Material Hold"?

Does anyone know the difference between "unscheduled material hold" and the status I've been given which is "unscheduled clean"?

Matl HOLD - unit can't schedule - something is not availble.

unschd/clean- unit isn't scheduled (no VIN, no date, no guarantee to build), but is a buildable order once allocation and commodities allow.

Yea, they have a long way to go. I'm starting to wonder how many R orders there are and IF they are going to be able to fill them all.

Good point as I got a call earlier tonight from a friend who lives in the Bay area and he was just told by his dealer today that their R model allocation was cancelled without much of any explanation.

It is my understanding that he had an order confirmation and his dealership is somewhat shocked at what just took place.

Certainly not trying to alarm any of you as this may just be an isolated instance but certainly feel for this individual as he has had a deposit down on his R model for quite some time and like the rest of us was really excited about getting his 2 seater.

On a more positive note is was very nice to see an R model get delivered today to another car buddy up in Maritime Canada!

I can not think of a worse scenario right now. I am just finalizing a deal to sell my second car in order to purchase and make room for my R. I will be beyond pissed seeing as I sold a 69 Camaro that I spent a decent amount customizing to my liking. Money I never made back (shocker). This is by far my biggest fear going "all in" with limited to no information from Ford. I'm hoping there is some truth to the winter shut down in R production and we'll see a ramp up in R models next month with March/April build dates. A man can dream.

I noticed that too. Maybe they are going to the cartels. Those guys are definitely all about saving weight and space.

I think what will upset me is if I don't have a car in April, the MY2017 GT350 order blanks come out and they offer a color I really want, i.e. Liquid Blue. If that would happen I might cancel the MY2016 order.

Or, you could sell that order to me!
