Cool chart, but I think there is something off with your 5th gear torque calculations. There is an increase in output on that gear that is not present on the others. It should have the same shape as the others, just scaled down. I think that might affect your shift point as well.

Separating from where? The rear 1/4 panels, or the bumper, or??? Mine is still looking good IMO, but I'm interested in knowing what to look for.

You are correct, sir. I carried over the wrong torque data for the 5th gear graph. Attached is an update.

I have same problem on both sides of the rear bumper, and i also made the dealer try to fix it before i took ownership of it, but they really couldn't do anything with. I think biggest complaint so far is quality of interior stuff. My leather seats are look like they are worn down on the sides, and i only have 300 miles on it, even the passenger seat looks worn on the leather and someone has only sat in that seat like 3 times total.

I know this is a track car but they could of put some better materials in the interior. I mean couldn't they least give us some carbon or aluminum on the dash and also not so much dam plastic everywhere.

Take that sucker back to the dealer and document the problem. Make them fix it.
I hate going to the dealership, I was hoping someone has a tutorial on how to fix it

I like it - a lot

I like that there is an oil temp gauge, its prominent, along w pressure.
This looks like a car that was meant to hammer.

The rear bumper seam is really the only thing that bums me out.
The gap is big, I noticed it on both cars at the dealer. Funny that they would roll out of Ford like that. The other panel gaps look pretty good.

It is just not a deal breaker for me.
It is not a La Ferrari.

I would say the overall fit and finish is pretty damn good, the paint is beautiful.
And for the money, I would say it is worth every cent and more.

I just wonder if a good body shop could re-hang the bumper. with a proper seam.

looks like when you bottom out the stress is on the area where the bumper meets the fender making a gap. And ive only bottomed out 2 times and neither was hard.

Got a couple complaints but over all, I love the car.

1st, my car came from the factory with a defective transmission (grinds going into 6th, bad sincros maybe or bent shift fork) but Ford wants to rebuild it rather than replacing it. I would understand if it started acting up after a few thousand miles but since it came that way,(only 10 miles on the car when I bought it) it should be replaced. I'm still fighting with them and the customer service has been SHIT. Not my dealership, but the Ford Customer Care Team in Dearborn. My dealership actually agrees with me, so they have been great to work with.

2nd, just at cruising speeds around 1800 to 2500 rpms 45 to 65 mph, I have terrible NVH. Not sure if this a normal thing but I'm thinking it might be an alignment issue, wheel out of balance, or the driveshaft out of balance. I don't feel like it's the engine. I'm going to take it and have the alignment and wheels checked, and as for the driveshaft, I plan to replace it with a carbon fiber one soon.

Anyway, that is it, other than those two complaints, I love the car. It's a blast to drive! I just think on a car like this (being a Shelby), Ford's quality control needs to step up their game because it's pretty piss poor at the moment! Never had an issue with my Boss 302, it was spot on when I bought it.

This thread should be made a sticky btw.

Those seem to be rather large complaints. I'm glad I don't have those issues. I wish I had coolers though.

I haven't seen another GT350 in my area, or else I would definitely request a ride. Just hope it's an easy fix, if not , I will wait and trade up for the next best thing.

Thing I like - cast iron rotors - they stop like throwing out an anchor.
Thing I dislike - cast iron rotors - the residue after washing the car is a nightmare. The inside of the wheel gets an orange stripe.

I've only had my car for 12 days, so I'm still in heaven and don't have any dislikes to gripe about yet. My only complaint is that I'm still breaking her in and can't drive as its really meant to be driven yet!

From a quality perspective, I'm very pleased with the overall fit and finish of my car. The paint job is flawless and the body seem gaps are pretty good for an American car. I also own a Porsche and an Audi, so I'm pleasantly surprised on how well built my car seems to be (knock on wood). Many years ago I had a Ford Taurus as a company car, my GT350 is light years ahead in comparison.

My only real complaint so far is the numb, artificial steering feel - but that's no different from every other car I've driven with an electric steering rack.

The car I had before the GT350 was a 2014 CTS-V wagon, and I do miss the insane low end throw-me-back-in-my-seat torque that car had from 2250 RPMs on up. I don't, though, miss the way I felt like I was fighting that car to keep it under 100 miles per hour. The GT350's a million times more fun to drive at license preserving speeds than the V was.

Overall, the GT350 is just plain fun as hell: the way it dives into corners, the reaction I get from people around me. And that ridiculous, amazing sound - all it takes is a tunnel or an underpass to have me giggling maniacally like a 10 year old that just pounded 20 ounces of Mountain Dew.

(Ok, I wish I had the recaros - I had them on the V and the GT350's feel inappropriately sedan like by comparison. And I haven't seen limp mode yet, but I'm slightly annoyed the car I bought was sold without coolers that should've been stock on all 2016s. I dig the tech pack's infotainment system, though.)

I've had my car home for just over 2 weeks and have spent many evenings going over it and my Audi and Porsche. Here's a brief summary:

1) Panel fit: Panel fit is not as good on the GT350. My 20 year old Boxster has huge panel gaps, but they are consistent along the gap. The Audi has tighter gaps, which are also consistent. The GT350 has some gaps which are tight, but are not consistent along the gap, and some which are not tight and also inconsistent.

2) Paint: Paint on my GT350 is great. I haven't found any major flaws, though I suspect the paint is weak, as I already have a chip/scratch on my hood. The 17 year old Audi paint job is better, and the Porsche paint is about the same in quality, but definitely stronger. With 56K miles, it looks brand new.

3) Interior materials: Audi has the best materials, in terms of the plastics. The Porsche has terrible plastics in the interior, which is why I ordered mine way back when with the full leather interior ($2450 option, as I recall). GT350 is a little better than the Porsche.

I have zero issue with whatever shortcomings the GT350 has. I knew what I was buying, and that is all the underlying systems and technology, which make the GT350 the great icon that it is. My hope is it remains as reliable as it's garage mates.

As for the quality issues, in my opinion, as a Mechanical Design Engineer, these panel fit issues, etc. are not production issues, but engineering issues. I think, looking at the way my hood is assembled, the builders of the car are doing their best to even out the panel gaps, but you can only work with what they've given you. Kudos to the builders!
