We did 195MPH just about a 3/4 mile mark.

What the hell were you driving? That's Bugatti status. It gets to 200 MPH in the mile. And that's with 16.4 liter engine, 4 turbos and over a 1000hp. And you can do it with 1/4 less track?

I theoretically hit 140mph in Mexico. It wasn't exactly 140 but maybe 140+ in the lower part of 140s. Definitely feel like it could've pulled another theoretical 10 mph. Hood starts shaking round 120s to 130s or so. I feel like I could've theoretically hit 146 if I wanted. PS my car is theoretically stock performance wise.

Funny stuff, I too was out in Mexico today and theoretically 140 in my base ecoboost.

Ive gotten my car to 155mph. But i have full bolt-ons and such. But at that speed, the car feels really sketchy even with springs.

I did 150 in my GT premium the other day(non pp). I have a lund tune. I easily could have got to 160 but was coming up on a car and had to slow down. I don't normally do this but had to see what my car can do at least once. Speedometer says 160 but I'm sure it would go 170 with a tune. It also got to 150 pretty fast
in a GT? totally feasible. I had my aero-brick '13 GT vert up at 167mph, i'm sure a lighter GT could do much better.

Theoretical top speed is how fast the engine can turn the wheels in top gear at red line...ironically, the base ecoboost can theoretically go faster than a PP car (lower axle ratio). A PP car will out accelerate a base ecoboost, though...you really need some place like the Bonneville salt flats if you want to know ultimate top speed.

Okay guys, crunched the numbers on this site:

http://www.csgnetwork.com/speedcalc.html

Ecoboost PP Manual: 204.57816342499444 MPH
Ecoboost non-PP Manual: 219.41162542559826 MPH

For tire diameter, I computed 27.03 inches (with 255/40ZR19 tires). The MT-82 has a 0.72:1 final drive ratio in the ecoboost, and if you don't know the axle ratios, then you don't belong in this forum :headbonk:

I'll leave it to someone else to crunch the numbers on an Automatic...

Of course, our tires would probably blow out long before reaching these kind of speeds, and I doubt that our aerodynamics are good enough that the engine can overcome the aerodynamic drag that going this fast induces...not to mention what the hood would be doing.

I got similar numbers, if Ford would just release the CD numbers of the 'stang I could calculate a fairly acurate drag limited top speed:frusty:

I can assure you at 175mph the hood is fine
