  1. EcoBoost - E30 Tune + Intercooler potential?

400 at the crank is like 330 at the wheels. Which is definitely well within the possibilites of the stock turbo and e30. Mixing Ethanol with good fuel is necessary though.
  2. Advice for Ecoboost options

This is one of the worst modding plans I've read on here in a while.
  3. Advice for Ecoboost options

Your mods will be a complete waste of money since you probably won't even make the same power as the stock Tune on 93. You are also not going to save money since the car will run with much less efficiency.
  4. Advice for Ecoboost options

They dont break on 87 under regular driving, lets put it this way. In no way was that meant for a tuned vehicle though. The Ford Racing Tune doesnt require more Octane for no reason.
  5. Advice for Ecoboost options

Looking forward to see your "blown engine" thread soon... sorry I had to say it ;) Running these engines modded with 87 is just asking for trouble and really doesnt make sense.
  6. Engine Comes Apart

It might be the crappy 91s fault. You need to up those octanes somehow or else the car won't be happy in the long run I think.
  7. Base GT test drive not impressive. What am I missing

I am not comparing at all. Just want to give OP a way to achieve his torque/power desires with the car he already has
  8. Base GT test drive not impressive. What am I missing

You don't really have to push the stock internals to get good numbers out of the ecoboost. Get a vargas stage 2 with intercooler and accessport (around 3.000$) and you can get to ~360/370whp roughly on 93 on a safe tune without having to upgrade internals. That's around as much as the GT does...
  9. Base GT test drive not impressive. What am I missing

You should consider test driving an eco with a vargas stage two and/or full bolt on E30 - preferably tuned by Adam. It's a total eye opener on what (relatively cheap) mods can do to these ecoboost engines. You wouldn't believe its actually the same car as stock.
  10. Base GT test drive not impressive. What am I missing

Get 3.000$, buy a Vargas Stage 2, a cobb Accessport, an Intercooler and get a good tune. Your Eco will feel simply amazing. Torque / power all over the place til redline. I have driven quite a few GTs myself and I know exactly what you mean. Was not impressed either. Other then the Sound the GT...
  11. Gearing vs performance

The way I do it is I order pure Ethanol E100 online. It comes in 10L canisters. I take them with me to the gas station and I fill in 35l of gas with 10% Ethanol and one canister of E100. Gets me right to E30 without doing any kind of math.
  12. Hmm...what next?

Sell the CAI and buy a green filter + Airaid tube combined with the stock airbox. You are giving up power with an aftermarket CAI.
  13. Tune for European mustang ecoboost

I have used the SCT device before and it worked. However I have just reccently made the switch to the Accessport and Adams Tune. It is a night and day difference in power and delivery. The car runs flawless and has a lot more power than before. Adam has already tuned a bunch of EU cars (he does...
  14. Mods to run 11.50ET 0n 92 Octain Fuel

Tune+ Wastegate Actuator and Airaid intake tube with a green filter will also help.
  15. VTT Stage 2 Twin Scroll results, FINALLY!!

Is a big Turbo worth it if you don't intend to get a built engine? I don't want to exceed the safe limits of the engine.
  16. Ecoboost...tuned power numbers and long term needs/problems?

Wait, with an Intercooler reliability will go down? That doesnt make any sense at all. lol
  17. Ecoboost...tuned power numbers and long term needs/problems?

My opinion is that you can't afford a GT, sorry. Even a base Eco will be pushing it with your budget. If your engine pops for whatever reason and you are out of warranty with a tune, you should be able to repair it out of your pocket without struggling. I personally would never buy a car...
  18. Tune for European mustang ecoboost

They probably all work well. Wagner is made in Germany quality, so it's definitely a good value intercooler.
  19. Tune for European mustang ecoboost

I believe there are some charts. You won't really gain lots of Power just with it but you can easily run more aggressive tunes since it's very efficient at keeping temps down. You will also prevent heatsoak a loooot better and so the engine will hold power a lot longer. It's also basically a big...
  20. Tune for European mustang ecoboost

Yes absolutely, buy an Intercooler (for example the Wagner Evo 1, which we all use in Germany) a drop in green Filter and a Cobb AP. Then purchase Adams tune for 150 dollars and let him do his magic. The car should see around 50 more hp and 100-150nm of torque depending on fuel. It will be a...
