Ecoboost top speed

I have the FP tune and when I bought it, asked someone on the FP help line about the limiter, he told me the FP tune removes it, "go as fast as you can". I don't know if that's true or not and haven't had the chance to test it yet. I might try to run at VIR this year and I hear it's a stupid fast track, maybe then....

Not sure sure... another tune had no limit... verified.

FP tune seems to have a limit around 130.

Can't say going 130/140 mph in a convertible is the smartest thing on earth.

I had the FP tune, and it had the exact same limit as my stock tune. Around 122-124ish

Mine is a European PP auto, with a 3.55 rear gears ratio, 255/40/19 tires, stock turbo, MBRP race catback exhausts, cp-e DeltaCore intercooler, Tune+ WGA and tuned by Tune+. I hit 250 kph (155 mph) several times. I had the fealing though that I could go even higher, but I got scared, LOL!

16' pp mt premium with ford tune. Tops out (electronically limited) at 155 mph. No doubt it would go faster with the limiter removed....

So I've been searching for a way to remove the 123 mph limit on a non pp ecoboost with the ford performance tune and the pp radiator installed. Is this possible while retaining the fp tune??? I do not want to switch to another tune at this point in time.

I spoke with Cobb & they told me you have to load one of their tunes in order to raise/remove the speed limiter. You cant use their tuner to remover the speed limiter only.

Any updates on how to remove the limiter using the FP tune?

Top speed is often a matter of balancing the details. I had a 1972 Mercury Comet GT w/140 hp 302, C4 3-sped auto and 2.79 rear end. Not much compared to cars today, but I did some suspension upgrades, tires, an Offy 360 manifold with a 470 cfm Autolite carb from a 427 SOHC dual quad, and exhaust modifications. It ran over 160 mph and felt solid. Despite all my cars since then (1975} I have yet to reach those speeds again.

Maybe you just have more accurate speedos in the later cars.

My PP EcoBoost manual with the FP tune still hits the wall at 149mph. Still climbing right into it and just stops. I believe you have to go with a pro tune to eliminate that...

My fp eb does not exceed 120

Performance pack eco w fp tune I don’t think has the limitor though

Non pp is 120 w fp
