Base Ecoboost front brake weights...

Caliper without bracket/pads: 6.1 lb.
Caliper bracket with pads: 6.4 lb.
Rotor: 19.5 lbs.

My car has about 4k miles, so the pads are close to new. The caliper was weighed with the hose attached (but slack of course) and the system was NOT drained.

Interesting - I just weighed my EB Performance Package brake rotor yesterday. These are the same as the base GT's, in between the base EB and the GT Performance Package 6-piston Brembo setup. The rotor alone was 28 lb. using a bathroom scale that read in 1/2# increments. I'll see if I have a more accurate scale and check the caliper when I do the other side of the car later today.

EBPP / Base GT Brake Rotor (14") - 28 lb.

Yep Clair, the first entry in this thread has a long list of parts' weights, predominantly Mustang GT. That first entry lists the 14" rotor as 28.56 lbs, so your scale works!

I weighed my Eco brake parts as part of evaluating 18" vs. 19" aftermarket wheels. I could have gone with 19" over 18" for big brake capability, but found that big brake kit weights are a non starter for what I'm trying to achieve.

I decided upon 18" wheels (OZ Leggera HLT 18x8) with Conti DWS06 (255/45). That combo drops between 9 and 10 lbs per corner over my stock wheels/tires which are 54.5 lbs/corner. The weight reduction might improve brake response enough that I won't feel the need to chase better brakes, which are available for 18" wheels in very light versions (Baer, Willwood, etc.).

Oh, crud, I forgot to check back on the first page. They got the 15# weight per caliper right, too... LOL

I knew I was going with the performance package on any car I got, so the 19" wheels were a given. I could have lived with 18's since they easily fit over the GT rotors & calipers, and that would have saved more weight. I ended up getting some 10" GT-7 wheels from LMR and with 285/35 tires saved a few pounds per corner over the 9" OEM wheels and 255/40 tires. Not huge savings, but still an improvement in weight and width.

You can't take the wheel weights off, your tires would be unbalanced. Besides, they come in 1/4 gram increments. :cwl: :flag:
Today, I took 36 lbs of air out of each tire and replaced it with Helium, but when I got done, the gauge still said it was 36 lbs. What gives?

Kind of annoyed...

Did another weigh-in and after installing a CF Wing, splitter and beefier sway bars while removing some interior trim my car weighed in at 3756.
Previous weight was 3638 and both were on full tanks (96 lbs of fuel on board(16 gal tank x 6lbs/gallon)).

Really looking forward to that Antigravity ATX-20HD to be delivered and thinking even more about the A/C delete.

Great write up about the A/C Removal: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/ac-delete.96609/page-2#post-2119066

I told the OP, this would happen if he made the thread about weight instead of mass.

I’m curious, does anyone know the weight of BMRs sp088 drag springs? Definitely feel heavier than OEM. Just curious.
