With that much drop (to much IMHO) you are going to have to keep an eye out for hitting the bump stops, especially in the rear - it can lead to some big problems with the upper shock mounts damaging the body …

What is the maximum I should drop in your opinion?

Look at any of the fast road / mild track kits from Ford Performance, Steeda or BMR etc - they are about half the drop you initially proposed :like:

For comparison, Ford Performance lowering springs only drop the car 0.787402 inches.

Regardless, you need to do shocks & struts, as the OEM units aren't meant for a lowered ride height.
The FRPP Street lowering X springs say they're designed for stock everything else, do you know why for these you don't have to change shocks/struts? or will wear and tear just increase

because the spring rate is compatible with the fixed rate of damping.
but you definitely should cut down the bump stops. or better yet replace with Eibach, likewise shortened.
