Circle-D for 10R80
258mm
Bought it for my 2019 GT but I never used because we went with a TH-400 transmission conversion for my turbo goals instead of the 10spd.
All in the original box.
$1500 shipped to any continental state.
I did.
The 4L80e case is a bit bigger than the Th-400. It might interfere with the floor board of the car and then there is the electronics you would have to play with to make it work with your build. Finally, the Completion/ Conversion kit from JPC would NOT work and lots of things would need...
Yes, they are awesome! No, I just called and talked to Eric, I also have done a lot of work with them in the past as well.
There is a reason why those kits are out there for cars making higher HP,
Thanks, and I'm looking forward to it! Hopefully, only a few more weeks and my car will be ready to go!
Forget it . Forget the 10 spd and making a lot of power. The amount of time you are gonna spend fixing your 10R80 you could have two TH-400s build for 1800-2000HP each.
Order yourself a TH-400 completion kit from Eric @ JPC and a built Th-400 from them or whatever shop you like. I did this...
The standalone transmission controller available doesn't work well for high HP applications. Lund and a few others tried that out with bad results. Heinz looked into doing it and so did I. They told us, bad idea.
From a Low mile 2019 Mustang GT
Transmission had 2000 miles before the clutches were added to it.
The car/engine/ transmission was never raced as I bought the car from an older gentleman and took it straight to Finish Line Performance in Milford, Ohio.
It already HAS the McLeod clutches...
Ok, James so please answer my question here:
If the 10R80 is so much better than the 6R80, why the rate of growing, developing issues is so much higher than when the 6R80 first came out?
There are lots of 2011 GTs still out there that their transmissions just shift like a dream and never an...
I Agree with some things you said but disagree with many more.
The 10R80 will need stronger parts, these clutches, so far, are just like putting bandaids on someone's back after the person just got shot by a Magnum 44. lol. Valve body, boiling fluid, plastic pan, electronic issues, clutches...
I don't know yet, but keep in mind that the transmission and car only have 2000 miles on them when it got to the shop. Then, They added the mcleod clutches, circle D and the carbon fibre driveshaft to complement. everything.
I will let you know!
