Got it home for the first time at about 9PM on a Monday, then 7AM Tuesday it was dropped off to get windows tinted. Had an appointment prior to signing papers on the car...It's requirement for all of our vehicles here in Florida...

Everyone will have there own opinion, but if you want to keep it looking OE, ford performance do one that’s easy to fit.

The last photo on my post above has a picture of mine (that’s only the unit, it comes as a kit with the necessary mounts and pipes etc) :like:

how hard to install and what's a good brand?
I have a UPR, and it's two quick connect hoses for install. Couldn't be easier.

Mine hides behind the coolant reservoir, so you can't see it unless you know what to look for. I've heard the FP version is a pain to empty out. Mine just screws apart, the FP needs an allen wrench I think?

No, you remove it (two quick connect hoses) and you pour it out of the bottom pipe connection.

You only need a wrench if you want to open it / strip it down - and even then it’s only four bolts.

There are some photos of it stripped on my build thread, it has quite an intricate metal filter inside of it.

Im not saying it’s better or worse than any of the others - lots of choices out there, just pick the one with features that suit you :like:

I'm not sure where it comes from that the FP catch can is so hard to empty. You simply disconnect the factory style quick disconnects from the can, slide it up off the bracket, pour the collected oil out the lower connection, slide back on the bracket and snap the connections on. People taking the top off and using a turkey baster to suck out the oil are simply not reading the directions.

Gotcha, I prefer the screwtop on mine, but to each his own. They do look good installed, I'll give you that.

Took the whip straight from the dealer to our detail guy and had a paint correction and full ceramic coating done. While it was there the MBRP X-pipe came in along with the new shift knob. Hood struts and Weathertec mats were right behind that. Otherwise, nothing else.....yet.
