Andrew, our tank is slightly heavier than the stock plastic tank by 9.8 ounces. This wasn't listed as a weight saving option but rather more of an eye pleasing option. When the word light-weight was used in the item description it was intended to refer to the material used. "Made of high-quality light-weight aluminum" I think the only way we could make one lighter than the plastic would be out of titanium.Anyone know how much the coolant tank weighs? I see Fathouse makes one it claims is "lightweight" https://www.fathousefab.com/product/name/s550-coolant-tank
You're still moving weight to the rear. That's always a win.Oh, and not to mention, Ford's placement of the battery makes the move less significant than in other cars since the battery is mounted near the firewall as opposed to many other cars which place it towards the very front of the nose.
My SLP axle backs were 7 lbs each. The stock mufflers were 14.5lbs each. H-pipe was 4 lbs. Suitcase was 18 as you stated.
I'm sorry ......^^^...... we like loud.Yeah. And quieter than the roush. Deep bark, no rasp/drone.
I went the opposite way with an Antigravity Battery. ~5 lbs compared to the 25 Lb Battery.Evidence of part of the cost in upgrading an original battery in a 2019 EcoBoost®:
Original, 31.0 pounds on a bathroom scale.
