Still want to know a more accurate # of how much a GT PP with Recaros weighs in at.
My Base GT PP w/recaros weighed in at 3664 lbs last week. Here's a list of things affecting that weight:

X-pipe/resonator delete (-10 lbs)
Roush V3 Suspension w/MM camber plates (+1.2 lbs)
MRR M350 19x10 wheels w/285/35/19 RE71Rs (-33.6 lbs)
Scroth Rallye 4 Harness (+5 lbs?)

1/4 tank of gas. Other fluids at normal levels.

Anyone ever weigh all the speakers and head unit? After I get my car, I'm most definately chucking the whole lot. Probably a substantial bit of weight.

speakers from a 400A was about 5-6# total, they are crap
Thanks for the info. Do you mean they only weigh 5 to 6 pounds total for all the speakers combined? Or do you mean that each speaker is 5 to 6 pounds? The head unit must weigh atleast 8 pounds alone. Ford always has heavy head units.

I'm sure he means total for all speakers. They aren't very heavy, I removed my rear speakers and saved not much.

Surprised hood is only mentioned twice in entire thread. :frusty:

Someone asking the weight and someone giving a number. OP (BMR TECH) has failed us by not putting down what the hood weighs! :tsk:

Apparently GT350 NON track pack cars are going to limp mode, maybe a better vented hood will help in cooling? Not to mention lighter.

The stock hood weighs 30lbs.

I'll weigh it this week but the GT350 hood weight seems comparable.

The GT350 heat extractor as little to do with overheating. That is almost completely about the ratio of frontal cooling provisions and their access to external air. And how the air flows to, and through the cooling provisions. The additional frontal coolers improves that.

I want to thank the OP for starting this thread it has been invaluable to me Fabbin my own lightweight parts and using your list as a reference and idea platform. Just finished my K-brace and strut tower brace tonight. Cut 10lbs and maintained the same rigidity.

What method did you use to maintain the structure when you switched materials.

How much do the lug nuts weigh? I read here somewhere that someone got Titanium ones that were much lighter. Every bit counts ;)
