If you notice the FI engines are the ones that are affected by the carbon buildup, NA engines don't suffer from the buildup, at least from what I have seen and read. A dual injection setup like in the Ford Raptor's Ecoboost V6 eliminates the problem. Strange that Ford hasn't gone to that sooner...
Yeah, the LEDs will last more than a lifetime, but the electronics and everything around them don't. I don't know how many times I have seen LED tail lamps where multiple LEDs were not functioning, or blinking on and off due to a bad contact at the LED. I just hope the quality has gotten better...
As far as I know (expert here at nothing and everything) DI and leaving deposits is only a problem on Turbo cars, like the Ecoboosts, but is fixed with also injecting fuel just before the valves to keep them clean with the added benefit of cooling the air before it enters the cylinder.
I...
Really impressive build, makes me want one even more now. Just waiting for 18MY to come out (I know, I know you can keep waiting for the next best thing or be in one now and enjoying it). I would love to see/feel how that beauty rides, but it would spoil me for when I finally get mine. And...
I am hoping for dual injection on the ecoboost engines, most of the manufacturers that make turbos with direct injection went over to that type of system after carbon build-up on the valves occurred.
And I agree with the 2.7 ecoboost, that would be my go to car here on Germany, efficient but...
Didn't Ford send them the car? MT can't just go to a dealer and say, "gimme that one!"
If anything, Ford was hurting itself by sending a heavy car. Although, this wasn't a H2H on the track so hopefully for that one the two cars will be comparable.
I think this has already been said though.
Well, all I can say is that here in Germany it rare to see any of these cars here, but if you do it is either a Mustang, corvette or a Challenger (in that order). Camaros are extremely rare. It will be a tough fight for Ford over here against all the German made sports cars. Especially if they...
And the Camaro stops fast, but can the brakes handle tracks where they are repeatedly used with little to no cool down in between? Still a lot to come...
