it has an engine!
I have stopped the car over 50 times from speeds in excess of 150+mph.

Mileage wise, I have put 3000 miles on them.

No warpage.

They are great pieces. I actually just got some new style rotors and some newer less aggressive Hawk Pads to keep the dust down.
Careful with those hawks. The dust is corrosive. Itll ruin wheels

"Stock GT Base Struts" - can you clarify?

Is this complete with spring and upper strut mounts, per side? Or is it just the strut alone?

I would like to list each part separately when/if possible.

Thanks!

This is base model GT complete with spring and upper mount, one side only. Basically undid the 3 bolts on top and 2 bolts at bottom and put it on the scale.

Any idea what is the weight of just the rim ?
This has been discussed here before. The Ford factory wheels are pretty heavy, GTPP wheels for example rears are 34 and fronts are 33 lbs lbs! Switching to 19" tsw bathursts will save you a freaking 50 lbs! Thats just insane!

The only thing I don't understand is if the IRS added so much extra weight in the rear, then why the hell did the Mustang not get a better weight distribution??? It's like Ford was thinking "Hey we added XXlbs to the rear, I think we need to add more to the front so we don't improve weight distribution" :headbonk:

Voodoo, I know someone broke their Aluminum rear diff cover. I don't imagine it would be wise to run aluminum anything back there lol

This diff has 3.15 gears in it.

I had an aluminum....but broke it, so I didnt ever get the weight of it.

I would love for someone to post the weight of an aluminum one loaded, with no fluid!

As for what I am putting in, G-Force 9" IRS system with Strange Pro HD Aluminum Center section.

I will have the entire assembly weight comparo soon.

Not true..
Cast Iron GT 3.31 rearend (pumpkin) complete 96.4 lbs. Dry
Cast Iron GT/PP 3.73 Torsen rearend (pumpkin) 105.7 lbs. Dry

The difference is the Torsen, not the gears. But I suppose technically the question and response is correct...the "gears" technically make a difference.

I'm talking 9". Not 8.8. The 9" is a pig much stronger.

ahh, well then. Yea I wouldn't really know, just referring to the issues BMR had with the stock one. Now is the 9 inch aluminum lighter than the 8.8 iron?
