Have a Paxton kit sitting in my living room right now, so figured I would weigh a few things:

Paxton Novi 2200SL head unit (without oil): 18.0 lbs
Paxton intercooler: 24.8 lbs
Paxton steel mounting plates: 7.4 lbs

Performance Pack people who want to drag race, 43lbs savings alone with just the Billet Specialties 17" rear wheels with Hoosier 28x10-17 slicks.

The wheels with tires come in at 42.9lbs per side.

Pretty good savings!

I just took the clutch, flywheel and clutch line out of a new 2017 Mustang GT w/PP. The flywheel is nodular type and weighs 21.6 pounds. The clutch (with 9 bolts) weighs 25.5 pounds. My dealer put in a McLeod RXT clutch and McLeod aluminum flywheel so I was not able to weight them. American Muscle reports that the aluminum flywheel is 14.5lbs . I can't find a weight on the RXT.

I have a McLeod RXT clutch and McLeod billet steel flywheel here that haven't been installed, so I weighed them.

McLeod Billet Steel Flywheel - 20.0 Lbs
McLeod RXT Twin Disc Clutch (including ARP bolts and alignment tool inside) - 24.6 Lbs

Crazy question since I was crazy enough to daily drive my sti like this . Anyone remove their bumper beams and not replace them at all . Supposedly bumper beams are only designed for impacts 5 mph or less . On my sti the combined weight of both was 38 lbs . 21 up front 17 in the rear ..

Just received my Roush X-pipe. Shipping weight 12.2lbs. Gotta be at least 10lbs savings off the resonator. I'll weigh them both upon install.

Jprada1210 The older cars had heavy supports, the S550 front one weighs 12lbs. Not sure about the rear.

This was done a lot on the sn95s/new edges and I think foxes (never had one). Everyone started making their own lightweight support replacements to keep the bumper from flexing then companies jumped in and offered "drag race only" versions.

Here's one for the S550 http://www.lethalperformance.com/wa...ghtweight-drag-race-front-bumper-support.html

Only 12 pounds ? I was expecting a lot more . Probably not worth messing with it .

Earlier in the thread I posted my aluminum ones I made that were only 4lbs. you can't just remove them completely since they actually hold your front fascia and back bumper on. you remove it and fenders will start falling of.

For one, maybe two HPDE's I ran my s2000 with negligible front bumper mass. It did seem to make a difference, but that might have been a sum of more than the lack of parts :)
