Hi everyone. I have a 2017 Mustang GT Premium with the Shaker Pro sound system and desperately need to mod the car to make head unit into low-level line output to go into aftermarket amps and dump my aftermarket DSP. A friend and I have tried your suggestion and it does not work. We are using a...
I have no idea what my rev limiter is set or that I even had one. VMP did the tune - I assume the limiter is defined in their code somewhere but not sure.
Hi. In 4th gear, 642rwhp at 7150 rpm and 509ft-lb torque 4500 rpm. I'm new to dynos. Just finished build and put it on dyno yesterday but have some questions:
1. This pull shows SAEJ1349 as being set. Does that mean this pull is SAE corrected?
2. This pull was done in 4th gear. I have 3.73...
Thanks guys. Not done yet. Heat extractors need installing and I'm just trying to decide whether I should leave hood as is or blacken the scoop, chrome the scoop, or make the scoop silver. Just can't decide.
mumbles - the extractors look similar in shape and size but I dont know for certain...
I just took the clutch, flywheel and clutch line out of a new 2017 Mustang GT w/PP. The flywheel is nodular type and weighs 21.6 pounds. The clutch (with 9 bolts) weighs 25.5 pounds. My dealer put in a McLeod RXT clutch and McLeod aluminum flywheel so I was not able to weight them. American...
plc268 - I'm hoping it's a couple rungs up from "not that bad" but I won't know until they're on and can be put through their paces. Worst case scenario, I put the 6 piston Brembos back on and replace the stock rotors with Baer's 15" eradispeed. If the only issue is cooling, and brake fade is...
plc268 - You raise a good question and hit on my biggest concern about this build. I came across these brakes in several threads including one on this forum about S550 weight loss.
Despite all my efforts, I could not find anyone that had anything concrete to say about the performance of these...
Wildcatgoal - Thanks! It should be a real fun ride when done. Originally I had spec'd Steeda for most of my suspension related components but, as often happens, budget demanded certain cuts. I picked up the SR Performance bits when American Muscle had them on sale. I saved nearly $200 on the...
HAHAHA! Very true and very sad, all at the same time. Truth is my health isn't great. I don't have the strength or reflexes to be out and given'r on the track. Perhaps it will change and one day I'll be able to stomp it - I hope so. But just because I can't ride well anymore doesn't mean I don't...
jpilone - thanks for the offer. I was just at the dealership yesterday and we started up another similar project car with Roush Phase 1 supercharger, Ford X pipe, longtubes, and roush quad tip active exhaust. On a cold start, wide open exhaust, standing behind the car, I did permanent damage to...
Car will look very similar to this when done but all black parts (chin spoiler, hood vents, rocker panels, rear lower valance, pedestal spoiler undermount, and roof) and mirrors are high gloss black. Badges are all skinned and car totally redecalled.
I'm chasing the GT350R and not the 350. The list price of the GT350R is $99,000CAN tax in. I could not find any dealers that would sell it to me for that price. The cheapest I could find for the R was $120,000CAN taxes paid. That is for a fully appointed 2017 GT350R - $21,000 over suggested...
Actually, taking off the intake manifold is exactly like open heart surgery. "Open heart surgery" does not mean 'opening the heart' - it means opening the body to reveal the heart. If you're going to be a smartass it helps to know something. :D
I will post updates here as the car transforms including pictures, talk a little about any snags, give a total parts list including cost, and solicit advice.
I also have a Facebook project page set up. It has a lot of general information including reviews of the parts I selected and...
