I now have a 580 Performance ABS bypass mod and can turn TC/Adv Trac off/on immediately with the push of a button. I only get the warning lights when it’s turned off.

I've never had that light pulling my dyno plug. Check your battery.
Battery is good do you have an S550 your pulling it on? I have only tested it out on my 17 GT 3 or 4 times and each time I get those warning light and steering assist service light and once plugged back in normal operation

At 1000whp, even with TC and AT off, the ECU will still pull timing at the loss of traction. I’ve personally datalogged this numerous times. With the plug unplugged, the ECU can’t monitor to determine if there is loss of traction.
at 1000whp assuming you have a good tuner, tell him to change it so spark isn't effected by loss of traction. It takes 3 seconds, and you never have to dick around with a custom-made switch or any other backyard experiments.

So when I am pulling I am getting the steering assist fault service required message on my 17 Mustang GT with performance package. Can others confirm they get this each time the dyno plug is pulled? And is there any repercussions from that happening?
yep. Steering fault every time. i just press ok and it goes away for the rest of the session. If I stop the car I plug it back in , so I don’t leave it out while turned off etc.
Nothing has happened at all No long lasting codes or anything.
soon as you plug it back in car is happy.

pulling the plug is the only way to drift a mustang without Nannie’s cutting in. They are always working in the background unfortunately And cut in when you don’t want them to.

I’ve got to do a switch for sure.

Yes. Just get a warning that Stability Control is off. If the steering one comes up, it's because my battery is low. Another thing to look at, when is the last time you reset BMS? My car acts up if I go more than 4-6 months (Depending on number of track days) without resetting.

Battery is good have not tried a reset but I can give it a try. But others have the same message when pulling the plug and every time I plug it back in no more message.

I've had my fun plug disconnected for months now, maybe close to a year. No fault whatsoever, except the little yellow symbol on the dash. No steering issues, no nothing. Car drives like a charm and is enormous fun.

If I had an auto, I'd go fancy like that. But since I have a manual, I'll just mount it wherever it's most convenient.

Haha. That’s a bit to easy to get too. I’d accidentally hit it and go full crowd mode. I would need it in a covered toggle switch

It did absolutely nothing in terms of engine torque management, specifically for drag racing.
I think there is a bug in the ECM software that under some circumstances will cause the advance track to activate even when the driver has it switched off. I have seen it in some of my logs.

Really ? Interesting. I heard that was the only way to disable clutch protection. Hence the switch I made.
