Awesome! Good luck with the install. I did mine on ramps too and it wasn't bad at all. I did mine in 35° weather on my carport because I'm impatient, so it took almost double the time it normally would lol.

Jebus 35 degrees!!!!!! It never gets below 80 around here. Ever. Yeah ramps is totally doable, heck the end of a steep driveway will work.

Ok sooooo...now with ic and pipes and intake when i floor it it sounds like a screaming old lady. Literally..is there something loose or thats just normal?

Are you sure you bolted everything in solid?? Cauuuuse that's a weird noise.

Can you provide more detail on the conditions surrounding the noise? How is at startup/idle, active revving, letting off gas when the turbo spools, after driving around for 15 minutes, etc...

Everything is fine starting up, although i will say that has to be the noisiest cai ever, it idles fine, makes boost if i rev it and keeps boost if i floor it or drive semi hard. Im 97%sure im not leaking boost. If i floor it 75-80% of the way everything sounds like im used to in turbo cars with the same mods, but flooring it sounds like a screaming lady. Letting off gas the blow off goes off (vented) and theres a weird wuwuwi sound but its very faint. I didnt adjust the blowoff in any way. Im certain this is not normal.
82 degree ambient, ait rose to 152 in the drive through at mickey d!!! All other temps were fine. Cruising around ait werent really lower than with stock.

But the sound is what I'm curious about because the charge kit from MAP eliminates the BPV; it definitely would do *something* if not installed properly, I think. So, and don't quote me because I haven't ordered my own yet, I'd look at the piping connections/sensor for the cooling issue. Maybe the sensor isn't fully seated in the IC. And then look at the connection point for the vee port that comes with it for the scream.

The only thing on the ic to plug in ( far as i know) is the map sensor, and that cant be the culprit.. the temp sensor is on the intake, and its as tight as it can be. Also on the intake theres the pcv valve, but i dont see how that could be it. The hoses are super tight, nothing is loose and i dont think in leaking boost, (but how can i be sure??). I did notice the intake hose doesnt go on the turbine all the way in like it should, and i can certainly fix that (once the car cools) but other than some extra noise i can see that as a potential problem. ..

As a side note i did have a hell of a dificult time installing the drivera side pipe, that lower coupler is waaaay way longer than it should, and when you put it in it bends a bit. I used another shorter one that i had, same material, same bend, same staggered size but an inch shorter. It fit perfect. We tried everything to get it to fit perfect but once on the throttle body it bent the lower silicone a bit. Went so far as to have the local shop owner look at it, he even suggested i put the tube upside down, but still no. He said theres no way that fits like stock out of the box.

Help!!!! Cruising around i reached 160 degrees for the first time ever!!! It never went past 136 with stock!!

You did the intake at the same time? I may have missed that part of your earlier posts.

I'm not sure what to say. I've done a Mishimoto cai on mine and had no problems with IAT. Can't speak about other brands on that one.

Send Adam a PM. That's honestly the fastest way you'll get some resolution to this. But as for that piping you said didn't fit properly seated and the one you had to swap out? I wouldn't have driven that car off the garage floor until those problems were ironed out. You really shouldn't "quit" partway through any piece of an install and assume it's good enough because then weird stuff could start happening. Already had the car up and taken apart, now you gotta do it again, ya know?

Talk to Adam, tell him about the part you swapped because of the bad fitment and also about the piping that wasn't seated fully.

With any intake that has an open filer element (mishi, jlt, map, etc), you'll see your IATs shoot up pretty quickly when idling. They cool right back off as well though. Keep in mind, the intercooler has NOTHING to do with IATs, as those are the temps just passed the air filter. Charge air temps are more crucial, and are the ones that effect performance (via timing correction). I'm in Phoenix, AZ and have seen my IATs get as high as 170 deg (115deg day, HEAVY stop and go traffic) but the IATs fall and the charge temps are fine as soon as we get moving.

Not harsh at all!! Dont worry. Ill fix the intake right now, i noticed it this morning, ill report back. Yeah the best option here it to write adam and see whats up. I did use the silicone i had because it fitted perfect and did not want to use the car otherwise. Its nit a bad teardown all things considered, the pipes at least, the ic was HELL! So after i re-seat the intake ill check the noises again and if tomorrow i cant deal ill change the cold side pipe for stock (which fits perfect) and see if that changes things. Better yet let me see if i can post a clip for you guys to listen to.

So i pushed the cai as further in as it goes, but as suspected not much changed. The car still screams like a scared old lady when wide open. Maybe its normal. ..its just so weird to me

Agreed make a video, with the hood open and having somebody rev the engine for you. If you bought the charge pipes with venting to atmosphere you should've capped the intake.
