They also have a racing radiator (C&R/PWR) and make *less* power than most guys who track their cars.
they make around 450 hp.

Keep in mind there are gt4 running not limited at 580Hp
I wonder what their temps are? I know that uncorked Cayman GT4's run hot enough to pull a lot of power out through a run. I also know of at least 1 BMW GT4 team that changes the rad every weekend (because it's an actual advantage, not <just> paranoia).

Temps are great. Ben and his gt4 hummers laguna at 1.31 pace for 8 laps no issue.

bent fins I'm guessing from rocks and thrown debris? Ignoring the catastrophic failure of aluminum 'welds'.

That's about the same pace as the pro's do restricted. It would be interesting to know fuel consumption numbers of both to be able to compare. They may be rejecting similar amounts of heat overall, just in different ways.

Good point. I dont know.
Is also a different engine so maybe the internal cooling is different (i mean the inner cylinder water ducts?)

So to compare. I. At 1:32 . And temps with mishi are 275 280 (oil temp) with 65f ambient .
CHT is within normal (bigger radiator at 220). And trans (10speed)around 180f.
I do think mishi cooler is not enough if speeds increase. Just got a 948 setrab. Will be an upgrade soon for sure.

Oil .Just corrected the post
I guessed is oil just wanted to make sure. We also need to consider that the GT4 has a lot more airflow through the hood vents than Stock GT's that we track. I saw TriFibar are selling a Carbon GT4 hood though.

True. Compare to mine not that of a big of a difference.
Race louvers works better for cooling and DF IMO
But more drag

When I talked to the GT4 guys, they said the engine was basically stock with a dry sump and good exhaust. There was no need to do a whole development project because they had headroom in the tuning and BoP was going to pull them back, anyway. They might even run cats, several of the GT4's do.

Are you supercharged or am I thinking of someone else?
