When I talked to the GT4 guys, they said the engine was basically stock with a dry sump and good exhaust. There was no need to do a whole development project because they had headroom in the tuning and BoP was going to pull them back, anyway. They might even run cats, several of the GT4's do.

Are you supercharged or am I thinking of someone else?
NA. 5.0 .e85

Gt4 is a crossplane 5.2 with better valve and drysump

270f ish is pretty "Standard" for mustangs.
I'm gonna put a 934 and I'll see if it gets better for cooling.

No kidding! I figured E85 would help on the cooling end. What you gain in horsepower has probably offset whatever cooling effect you're getting from the alcohol. At least you don't have to worry about knock.

I have no idea about the 5.0 vs 5.2 internal cooling. We've gotta find an engine guy for that. Whatever they're doing with the GT4 car seems to work, though. C&R will make that exact radiator for ~$1100 if memory serves, but it's not a direct swap.

True. Compare to mine not that of a big of a difference.
Race louvers works better for cooling and DF IMO
But more drag
You might even have more venting than the GT4. You're definitely carrying more aero overall. They would kill for your downforce. I've been thinking about just doing the side louvers on the hood. Would you recommend that or is it just pissing in the wind without the middle?

I would love their weight and more important ...their trans!

The mid one is the main one. The side help for sure. How much? Not sure. Racelouvers does have lots of data on their website.
I remember some wind tunnel test running with and without the side.
i would suggest center first.

I've asked Al this question when I was in the process of buying my louvers, and from what I understood, heat extraction is directly dependent on surface area (along with other things of course) and side louvers have bigger area combined, but center louver has more optimal location, so the efficiency between them should be similar. I just ended up installing all 3 😄

Call him, he is a great guy to talk to, very helpful.

Winter preparation for

more cooling for the race car and i. Preparation for some wheel to wheel action( first 10speed 5.0 ever)

948 setrab oil cooler. (From mishi cooler)

650 setrab trans cooler (from 934 so little smaller cause is too cold now with also bypass lol )

I will stack them. (trans first ,oil.cooler after and plenty of free flow to radiator)

Thinking on tilting the cooler and radiator.

Pf course all boxed and ducted.

In also considering the oil cooler BEHIND THE RADIATOR. technically is the way to go however the thing that suffer the most for us is the Oil. So wanna take care of it.

Also shredded the shroud but is a mistake cause the fans are not attached to the radiator. There is a gap of 1") due to the shroud shape) that means the fan with re-circle air from the new opening rather than "pull from the radiator.

2 options :

1. I can build a shield around the fans

2. I just install.a SPAL fan.

Will keep u posted

So do they have a mustang-specific product or do you need to custom-fab it?

Man, you have so much room there with no AC condenser and no supercharger radiator 😄
It is a universal 16" fan. Can be "attached with 8$ derale cables.
We will see :)

Interesting, I'll research more.

Who do you buy setrabs from? Improved Racing or something else?

You might read improved’s warranty before saving $25 on eBay. (I’ve never tested it out)

I honestly love to buy amazon. Free delivery in 2 days and easy return policy if something is not right. I never heard the improved warranty tho. I'll check it out!
