What version are you guys running? I checked the SYNC site and it says version 3.3 available. Checked my car, and it has 3.3 installed
If you updated yours via USB, you need to upload the confirmation file installed by your head unit to the Ford website. Ford does not know you are updated until that file is uploaded.

IC!.. Something must still be pending. Download the update from the Ford website to a USB then go to that process. the file is less than 3GB. This will insure that a) any missing files or application will be installed. b) you will then have a confirmation file to upload validating the update with Ford servers.

The wifi update function is terrible, if you look in the Sync3 thread in the infotainment section, I don't think anyone has successfully had an update done via wifi. Everybody has to do the manual download to a USB.

Mine has worked/updated without issue on my home wifi while parked in my garage not running. I think the initial set up may have something to do with it. Dealers are supposed to/required to do something at time of delivery on there end as well.

I'm believe there is a setting for automatic updates. I'm sure my is set to "on" and my car is connected to my WIFI. How good is everyone's WIFI connection. That could be an issue.

Guys, The car does not have to be running to do the update. Just ignition on. Mine took about 10 minutes. I first tried the Wi-Fi method but that was taking too long. So I went online and downloaded the update unto a USB stick and completed the process that way. When finish, there will be a confirmation file written on your USB. Go back to the Ford website and upload this file so Ford is aware you have the update.
Well, mine shut down on the timer today while waiting.

There aren't any updates... at least any that can download over a good wi-fi signal before the car times out with the engine off.

I finally turned off the automatic update since all it does is bug me when I start the car.

ANyone know what was changed in 3.3?
It maybe added a couple of apps you've never heard of and will never use and will enable the "automatic update" feature to bug the shit out of you every time you start the car.

I updated mine several weeks ago to 3.3, uploaded the confirmation file--and just checked on my Ford owner website where it confidently assures me that no updates have been made to my Sync since before I bought it last October.

You know, despite all the little issues, I really love the car. But Ford can't seem to find its own behind with both hands.

It's worlds ahead of Infiniti.

Software and documentation are rushed out at the last second and neither of them are done right. The manufacturer figures it's easy to send out an update later to fix all the problems their testing didn't catch, the customer will find them.
Semi-off-topic: did anyone try to set the ambient color and get the error message "color can't be set in the daytime", then try to find that in the owners manual? Hint: turn on the lights so the car thinks it is not daytime, but I shouldn't have had to figure that out myself.

That's too bad. I sort of thought Ford was the nadir.
They still use 2 screens, one glossy, one matte, and android from 2013. No Android auto yet unless you get an Altima. Not even in their 60+K Q cars.

Mine hasn't notified me yet, but you can do a manual update by downloading it from your computer onto a thumb drive and doing the update in your car that way. I'm not a huge fan of the new Sync design with the all-blue look so I'm hoping my car doesn't pester me about it.
I think the blue looks amazing but more importantly it enabled the functionality for Google nav and waze to show on the digital dash which was worth it for me

I updated mine and also the map to 1.19 but still shows 1.18, contacted the map people since I paid for the usb, but they are totally useless and told me contact Ford Sync told me contact the map people, they also said they checked and I have 1.19 but my question is my Bullitt has no modem so are they really checking or just saying it because I purchased the map update.
