My '19, built is August, is 3.3. The blue theme looks nice.

Yes and no. Only the late 2018+ running 3.2 and 3.3 can be updated using the files listed on this thread. Now there is a separate thread for those who have Sync version 3.0 but it is a very involved process. Will this only be for 2018+ mustangs or would my 2017 be able to get this update?
From what I understand only 2019 and up will get the Sync 3 ver 3.4 update. It is possible to change your APIM for a newer version if you can get your hands on one. They are not cheap though. Will this only be for 2018+ mustangs or would my 2017 be able to get this update?
Just in case you do not know what an APIM is here's a post of a forum member who was selling one. From what I understand only 2019 and up will get the Sync 3 ver 3.4 update. It is possible to change your APIM for a newer version if you can get your hands on one. They are not cheap though.
I have read there’s more RAM, although have not verified myself.Other than what may be an "artificial" firmware limiter in terms of available Sync 3 version, does anyone know if there are any hardware differences between a MY18 and MY19/20 APIM? More RAM? Faster CPU?
Go to this thread and search APIMI was reading up on those links yesterday, and one thing kind of caught my eye. I think I saw it where an APIM that originally was for the 4" screen could be reformatted and repurposed for the 8" and sync3? Anyone confirm that?
I did but couldn't quite find anything. What I find interesting is that I looked at my old 4" apim (I did the conversion a few months ago) and it sure does look the same as the "gen 4" sync3 ones. It's out of a MY '19 so I was wondering if by using the same procedure of running the reformat followed by the 3.4 main package would it then function as a sync3/8" apim OR (probably more likely) I'd need to do the firmware using the dealer level tools. Might try it some day, but all the dash work of yanking it, swapping and whatnot isn't really attractive at the moment lol!Go to this thread and search APIM

Hey, how'd it go? Like it? Bugs? Car catch on fire? Now I get to go see how well it works - time for drive!
Working pretty good. I do like the new colors (will have to screenshot em). Like the first time when I did the 4 to 8 conversion, for whatever reason it gave me a few fits with the bluetooth and Android Auto but it eventually just fixed itself. I also did a reset to factory defaults, so suggest doing that first thing. Overall nicer interfaces but really I don't see any new functionality yet. I have the non nav, so YMMV.Hey, how'd it go? These screen shots are the dark mode or night mode. I like the night mode colors better than day mode. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/sync-3-v3-4.130972/#post-2721486
