All have Nav, all using the same download zip file.

Another re-start to restore the APIM to a backup I have from last changes and before I could do it, its working perfectly.
So the restart fixed it?

Continued trouble shooting the GPS today. Mounted the GPS back to the OEM metal bracket and it continues to work just fine. Thinking it might be possible that running the diagnostic mode was the true fix that somehow calibrated the antenna?

Great thread Hextall. This is why I love forums and not facebook for stuff like this.

I've gone through about half the pages so want to make sure I got this right

If I have a 2015 with MFT

All I need is

1.APIM and ACM out of the car.

2.The USB media since I want android Auto

3.One of your connectors. I'm good with wiring but nothing like plug in play. lol

4.Bezel to Hub USB Cable and APIM to Hub cable FR3Z-14D202-A & FR3Z-14D202-B

5. GPS antenna.

All this is will be plug in play right. Dont need any other connectors or programming with the Forscan thing?

I found a 2106 ecoboost premium with Nav and HD.
That should work right. Just need then screen and ACM?
Where is the ACM located so I can make sure the salvage yard gets it.

Thanks
Pretty sure I will have more questions. lol

Unless you want sat or sat/hd you don't need the ACM, you can reuse yours.

So I wont need any programming either with that Ford scan thing?
Unless that screen/apim came out of a Mustang with the same options you will still need to make some changes with Forscan.

Here's the FCIM you need to keep codes from popping up:
7A7-01-01 Xxxx xxxx xxxx 0=Gas Engine
7A7-01-01 xXxx xxxx xxxx 0=North America
7A7-01-01 xxXx xxxx xxxx A=Center stack display This removes common DTCs related to solar sensors & RH HVAC Door Damper position (Which don't exist in base cars)
7A7-01-01 xxxx Xxxx xxxx 0=No Climate Controlled Seats
7A7-01-01 xxxx xXxx xxxx 0=No Autostart

7A7-01-02 xxxX xxxx xxxx 0=No Heated Steering Wheel
7A7-01-02 xxxx xxXx xxxx 0=No Heated Mirror

7A7-01-03 Xxxx xxxx xxxx 0=No Front Left Side Discharge Sensor
7A7-01-03 xXxx xxxx xxxx 0=No Front Right Side Discharge Sensor
7A7-01-03 xxxx XXxx xxxx These are related to the heated seat temperature Hi, Med, Lo Settings and should be left as is
7A7-01-03 xXxx xxXX xxxx These are related to the heated seat temperature Hi, Med, Lo Settings and should be left as is
7A7-01-03 xxxx xxxx XXxx These are related to the heated seat temperature Hi, Med, Lo Settings and should be left as is

7A7-01-04 xx No change needed

7A7-02-01 XXXX XXXX XX This is your VIN number, or should be. If you bought a new bezel it will be gibberish. Leave it alone.
7A7-02-02 XXXX XXXX XX
7A7-02-03 XXXX XXXX XX
7A7-02-04 XXXX XXXX XX

HextallS550 as others have reported, I still have the following DTCs that won't clear after doing this:

B1A64 - Left Solar Sensor
B1A63 - Right Solar Sensor
B11E6 - Right HVAC Damper Position Sensor

Not a big deal since those have been there the whole time, just reporting back. Are you sure there isn't anything extra you did?

You want to try what I have? I gave my exact hex values to someone with an EB and it didn’t work, I gave it to another guy with a 17 GT and worked. There’s obviously more to it than just the FCIM. But I don’t see an HVAC module.

Hmm, perplexing.

I don't exactly know how it all works between the modules, but I assumed the FCIM essentially stood in as an HVAC module. Perhaps the BCM has a small part to play as well.

FWIW, I did try setting that value you had as "A" to "F" (all bits on) just to see what would happen. There was no change in the DTCs for me.

The default on both the base and premium FCIM as-built is 0. I wish we had a more complete idea for what every value in that position represented.

ETA: Too bad the new 301A 2018 has dual-zone. If they'd have tried to save some money with a single-zone setup I bet we could figure it out easier.
