I sent my carbon decklid panel back. Didn't care for the contrast with the tail lights. The fitment was also a little too "off" for my OCD. Decided to go with the factory euro tails instead
You better believe I read all of this 😆. After a few attempts to tow it from my garage I was somehow able to drive 2 miles to my dealer. Now the problem will be seeing if they can reproduce the issue.
Haven't posted here in a while (extremely busy). Sorry to report bad news. Last week while driving I got caught in a bit of rain. I transitioned to slippery mode and shortly thereafter the display read "select manual mode". At that point I noticed the trans was not up-shifting during...
Follow-up on my bad Xpel installation experience. I spoke with customer service and was advised that the warranty is obviously only for material defects. I explained my concern with allowing the installer to perform any needed removal and re-installation due to the damage he already caused as...
So it seems the 2.5 inch diameter low profile QL-50 is the spec. From what I see they are not available in anodized colors in that size. There is however a brushed and polished look. $250-$300 seems a bit high though. I have started my claim with Xpel.
Speaking of hood pins... are there any known after market versions available yet or in the pipe line? A set done in carbon fiber or anodized would be nice.
Agreed, I'm complaining directly to Xpel. After all they certify these installers. Xpel wants the customer to work with the installer to resolve installation issues. I have no intention on letting this guy do any more work for me. If he doesn't have enough skill or care to avoid cutting into my...
Well, my first mod didn't go as well as planned. I found a certified xpel installer (there aren't many within an hours drive of my location) and gave it a go. I went for full frontal and area just forward of the rear wheels. Found the installer cut into my hood pins. PPF is poorly aligned with...
Found an old picture I had taken from my 2016 GT 350 mirror cap. It was absolute black. The insert appears to match the spoiler, and mirror caps which all seem to be the same as 2016. So G1 is the best guess.
While doing some polishing before planned PPF this week, I noticed a few chips in the gloss black front bumper insert. Is this just the same paint code as ebony black etc? Going to need a touch-up pen.
I had a pair of these a few years back on my GT350. No cracks, but they stopped working within a few months. I want a set of DD sequential turn signals but I'm scared of doing all that work to swap them out just to find they too will fail.
