Straight to the ignore list, what an ignorant comment to add to this thread.
Almost certainly riding around on D all day, too, and mad about it. Most PRNDL trolls are.
I've installed two MGW shifters. I am very familiar with what I'm talking about here.
You misunderstand.
The MGW OEM knob adapter replicates the reverse lockout collar. It's dimensionally the same.
It's designed to fit in the hole in the bottom of an OEM knob that the reverse lockout collar...
Is the issue that you bought the wrong knob?
I think the diameter of the hole in the "tall teardrop" and "short teardrop" may be different.
I think most of us went with the "short teardrop".
Billetworkz description of the short teardrop:
The "large factory reverse lockout" would be the...
Mine fit inside, but it was a slightly different style than the one you have.
Made of bare stainless with hidden wrench flats and a good deal shorter. Still an MGW product though.
The Billetworkz knobs are designed to fit over the shift boot collar, so it *should* fit inside the knob, but you...
If you think you have a problem you just need to contact them.
The jam nut they include is intended for use with a pull-up collar. You don't have one of those.
I did not use the jam nut they included with my MGW shifter, I used the MGW OEM knob adapter as a jam nut.
Don't know what else to...
Yes, just omit that nut.
The MGW adapter can function as a jam nut itself, in order to clock the knob pattern correctly. But you have to loosen the allen key first.
I believe that black piece is from MGW and has an hidden allen screw on it somewhere, maybe pointed away from you.
You can use it as a jam nut against the shift knob, in order to properly align the shift knob.
I will just say this and leave it alone:
Dodge killed their manual, front-engine V10, two seater sports car (the Viper.)
Chevrolet killed their manual, front-engine V8, two seater sports car (the C7.)
Aston Martin killed their manual, front-engine V8, two seater sports car (the Vantage dropped...
A lot of these companies operating in niche markets need to stop focusing on making 1:1 competitors for cars in the exact same niche market, and instead make something that stands alone and on it's own.
Ford shouldn't make a _______ competitor, they should make a car that other companies look...
While I'd be happy to be proven wrong, I don't believe it for a minute.
Just the fact that Tremec has released their bolt-in manual trans for the C8 tells me that it isn't happening. GM would need a bunch of those for production use, and while I doubt Tremec did the engineering on that...
Be careful - there are dudes out there that don't know you can use these cars for anything other than roll racing and the drag strip, and they will short circuit when you start talking about this kind of thing.
Like... people exist who bought GT350s and just... took them to the drag strip...
There's always somebody with a faster car than you.
If you have a manual, there's really nobody having more fun than you.
Two of the funnest cars I've ever driven: R53 JCW Mini 6MT and Hellcat 6MT.
They are both dogshit at putting up numbers on a spreadsheet for purposes of comparison and I...
I can't speak to the modding potential because I didn't really mod mine, outside of deleting the Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) and a catback exhaust. Stock tune/intake/downpipe/turbo/etc.
Both the CDV delete and catback are pretty much mandatory if you get the manual.
The Zupra is extremely...
I fixed it for you.
What a f---ing world we live in.
"Hey guys - here's an idea, let's run a thinner oil in our high-strung, never-been-done-before high-displacement FPC V8! What could possibly go wrong!"
Here's another important thing to remember about forums: the knowledge test required to...
