So again. What options do you need to adjust in the APIM to get the best flat audio out if you did a Sync 3 swap?

Hello together,
I swapped my Sync2 to Sync3 on my EU Mustang GT.
New APIM, Screen and fakra antenna.
Now I have the following issue:
Often a error occurs if I want to start the navigation, translated to english something like "The navigation doesn't work as expected".
Other days the navigation starts but the compass on the boardcomputer changes the directions very fast.. In this case the navigation on the screen is the wrong way to south and not to north... A forum member from germany said this can be an issue of the old Sync2 antenna but this is not sure. Maybe I should disconnect the old antenna?
Somebody can help me with this issues?

Best regards from Germany :)

Thank you sir, that worked a treat!

BTW, for anyone wondering, turning the silly synthesized engine noise off makes a big difference in the way the car sounds from the driver's seat. All the stupid, fake growling and groaning is gone; it's much more pleasant to drive. Now I'm really looking forward to a nice, conservative cat-back system for a sane and mellow exhaust note.

Low level. I have Hextall's cables.

I went from MFT though and not base.
Quoting DanMc85 over at the 2GFusions forum:

It is possible to reprogram the ACM to send out a flat line level out (approx 4 Volt preamp out) for sound out of the existing speaker wiring instead of regular high levels that are sound processed by the factory radio and/or Sony DSP (if equipped). *This makes using an aftermarket Amp way easier as it will have the pure unmodified sound as if using regular RCA Pre-Amp Outs. Also makes for better audio tuning as the bass won't be cut off as the volume goes up on the stock configuration. This mod works on all Fusion ACM's, with or without MyFord Touch / Sony. Also allows for removal / disconnection of the Sony Amplifier in the back of the trunk.

This mod can be done with FORScan w/ODBLink MX Adapter:
727-01-01 *xx59 F8x8 xxxx - Enables Line Level with Optional Subwoofer (Aux 1)* and Front Center (Aux 2) Outputs Enabled*
727-01-02* 00xx - Disables Factory EQ Processing
(ACM As-Built)

* This string breaks down as follows:
5 = Variable Line Level Audio Output
9 = Enable External Subwoofer (AUX 1) and Internal Amplifier (Aux 2) (0 - Disable)
F = Disable Open Speaker Circuit Detection (w/Active FM Radio Antenna - Otherwise use a D)
8 = Front Tweeters Present
8 = Aux 1 Type: Mono Subwoofer and Aux 2 Type: Front Center
See the link for a lot more detail.

Dans post is full of good info but for Mustang ACM you only need to change 727-01-01 to xx5x xxxx xx to turn on line level. z06psi you should leave all of that the same, you already have a Premium car. The other options don’t work with Mustang ACM because it is NOT the source for center channel or subwoofer output. The DSP synthesizes those channels.
727-01-02 x0xx xxxx xx should set EQ to default flat.

What if he's eliminating the DSP and getting signal from the ACM? I think that's what he's doing.

z06psi is using one of my older DSP-RCA harnesses. He doesn't need to change anything except for the EQ related hex in the ACM. This allows an easy bypass of the DSP Module and installation of aftermarket amps/DSP

Premium cars can't use the ACM-DSP harness pictured below unless they are using all new wiring for the drivers. Most owners prefer the above harness.

That makes sense for a premium car, easy wiring.

If you're looking for other FORScan changes, you can look at this thread:

Spart didn't you find a solution for non-NAV Sync 3.0 updates?
I can't take credit for finding it, but I did upload a pre-packaged intermediary install to resolve the issue people were having.

See this thread up to my most with the link and extra notes.
