Hello everyone,

I have read as many threads as I could find on here regarding suspension upgrades. I still need more clarity. I have a 2019 GT w/ PP1 (w/o MagneRide) and I need some suggestions on suspension upgrades.

What I am wanting:

1: Better ride quality. I feel every bump and it is difficult to drive longer than an hour.
2: Would like to lower at least 1 inch.

I have looked at the Ford Performance Track Package. Nothing but excellent reviews on it. The problem is I have read that the PP1 comes with the front strut mount kit and rear toe link kit included in the Track Package. I do not want to pay for things I do not need/already have.

Are there any suggestions on suspension upgrades that would provide a very noticeable improvement? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Kindly,

If you DONT want to feel bumps you don't want to go with ANY track package. You'll probably want to go with some progressive springs. Maybe some coil overs will give a softer ride.

Maybe also go to a 18in wheel so you have more side wall for a more comfortable ride.

Yes, great point. I have done some research since your reply. No track package for me lol. Progressive springs are definitely something I am looking at. Thank you for the help.

Generally, better ride quality and lowering don't go hand in hand. There is a bit of compromise somewhere. Check out my sig for the parts I used. I do have better ride quality overall, but there are smaller bumps & cracks that I've hit at lower speeds (<25mph?) which made me !!!. I recently did a road trip to Denver which took me on interstates and some VERY twisty mountain roads. I felt fine unless I drove for too long (8+ hours) which isn't the fault of the car...I have Recaro seats, too, btw. I was just getting tired. The Steeda progressives seem to do exactly what they're engineered to do. Give a softer ride initially and then get firmer with more compression. The B6s are working fine, too. Hope this helps.

The Steeda Progressives would be a great option if you want to go with just a lowering spring. Or if you want adjustability for the height and ride you could go with a coilover setup and really dial in the ride to exactly what you like.

Hit me up and I can get you dialed in for sure!

I am kind of at a loss. I found the FR Track kit to be stiff yes, but also quite compliant. I would go with the TrackKit and learn to suck it up buttercup! :D

Quick question. Should I get the adjustable or non-adjustable? Adjustable is about double the price.
I would go with the non adjustable. Thats just me though.

Didn’t you test drived the car before buying it ?
Not trying to be flippant but obviously you bought the wrong Mustang
Why did you bought a PP1 ???
I have a pp1 with now a track suspension and I find it firm but not uncomfortable…
What was your previous car ?

If your top priority is ride comfort DONT lower the car. You want suspension travel, you don't want to be that much closer to the bump stops.

the ONLY solution to this is soft-sidewall and taller tires.
Swapping to the base (soft) springs instead of the PP1 springs would also help.
