How much is windshield for that...curious.
It's not the cost so much. Shield is hard to get, backorder/wait. $728 dollars for 2020 C8. But the ripping up involved with the repair. Putting all the sensors back in place. Might be worth 400 bucks, who knows?

Has anyone told you to swerve?
Wow! You may have solved a mystery that has been haunting me. I once made the mistake of driving thru Indianapolis at lunch hour on my way to Dearborn. Everyone on the freeway was tailgating but also at least half the cars showed side swipe damage. Couldn't figure why. Did you ever run a driving school there?

Yeah makes sense to get the protective film.. Should last a long time with that extreme rake. Midas well get some cleararmour or similar 14+ mil on the side windows as well for all the nutjobs running around haha.

Don’t drive close behind anything that throws or drops rocks, really.

Check with your insurance, mine (in FL) will basically send out a glass repair company (free to me) to fill chips to avoid a windshield claim later.
Safelite customer for decades. My insurance pays to have chips filled. and they can come to you. Probabaly used that service 1/2 dozen times .

Stay away from driving behind 18-wheelers and anything big or with huge tires..... To me accelerating to 100 to pass a rock-throwing truck is justified and I'll argue that in court.
