So on a road trip it was my wife's turn to drive and she did a 5-2 downshift while trying to pass (instead of 5-4). Rear wheels seemed to lock up and I yelled "clutch clutch clutch!!!!" ... I had no way of seeing the RPMs from the passenger seat, but my radar detector shows speed and it was 75...
Difference is in most states here, we basically do whatever we want and no one cares. Even in states with emissions testing, they have never once questioned how loud a car was that I brought in *shrug* It is surprising how loud the stock Coyote 5.0's are, though. I wonder sometimes how Ford...
I don't know why, but the GT500's just don't sound good, at least on video. Maybe the sound is "too effortless" but the wailing 7500rpm redline of a regular Coyote sounds better to me, all the way through. Why is that?
The original "gross" numbers were lies, too. No way putting an air cleaner and accessories on it will cut 100hp out of it. It was just never that high to begin with. As evidenced by the day when the LS1 F-body hit the road in 1998 with "305"hp and immediately outran nearly every muscle car of...
Curious what the 20-somethings think.... I hang out with "car meet" crews of various ages, but I'm always wondering what they really think.... fat guy in his late 40's, heh.
Grabber Blue rules. Don't remember if I posted my Mach 1 *INSPIRED* GT. No fake badges, stripes are *similar* to Mach, but not Mach. Spoiler is OEM Ford Performance piece.
To ascertain if it's even effective at all? .... They could literally make all cars theft-proof with NFC encryption keys, but they cannot, due to federal regulations making OBD2 data mandatorily non-encrypted. Did you know that? If not, your reply is unnecessary in a post requesting...
True for any anti-theft method. The idea is to slow them down. If your car has a lock over the OBD2 port (and this is the method they intended to use to start it up), they are more likely to go to another car. Of course, there's also they risk they break your car even worse trying to get...
I know the LED tails on these are retina-searing bright, but IMO, I wouldn't sacrifice a single % of brightness for smoked lights. Clears look good, esp if you can get your hands on OEMs. I would never put tint on stock lights. Ever.
Parked the Grabber BLUE Mustang and suddenly the driveway is all blue.... The F150 5.0 FX4 is mine, the Mini Cooper S is my wife's.... the Mustang we share.
Not enough coverage on the Ford mats... I want coverage up and under the gas pedal. I've worn a hole in carpet in this area on another car and want to make sure that doesn't happen.
I'd say fixable, yes. Will insurance fix it? No, they'll consider it a total loss for them, but very fixable. Make sure it goes on a LASER frame measuring machine, and everything needs to be (or be pulled) to no more than 1/16th inch off on anything.
That looks pretty bad, man. Did it pop any airbags (side curtain?). That ramps up the repair price substantially. To be honest, if it were my car, I think I'd just want it totaled. Everything is fixable, yes. The issue insurance will look at is cost to fix vs. pay you out its value and move...
