So today I was trying to play with the toggle switches and noticed that the toggle for the steering gives me an error on the gauge cluster saying "steering function not available". I initially thought it was because I was in My Mode so I switched to other modes like Sport, track, etc and it still wouldn't do anything.

any ideas?

I don't think you can change the steering mode when the car is in drive, or while you're moving.

You can't change the steering mode when you are in sport+...only in normal mode.

I change it while I'm moving all the time. Most of the time doing 80 on the freeway.
I changed mine to Sport when I picked up the car and have never changed it.

I have messed around with it. Do you feel a difference in the different settings? I really didn't.

Going to sport+ changes the magneride, steering, exhaust and mapping. Huge difference between normal.

I only meant the steering. I am in Track mode at all times. Are you saying the steering changes when you go to Sport Mode or Track mode automatically

steering difference from normal to sport+ is minimal...but when I go to comfort steering, it makes it really easy on the freeway. Track steering is really tight.

I would say the difference between Sport and Comfort steering is easily noticable. Sport being sharp and precise, Comfort being relaxed for highway and such. As said, in Sport+ mode steering can't be changed so it writes that message.

Post a video. I am working through some active exhaust issues and would like to see your issue and the potential fix.

I have noticed this a few times as well. I believe, and don't quote me on this, but I think that if in mymode you have to be on the page that shows what is in what mode. I to have noticed a few times when I have mymode toggled that it won't let me change the steering setting. I haven't had the car in track mode to many times so can't comment on changing steering modes from that one or not.

right, so today I tried, if I keep the car at the default settings like when I first start it, the steering function works. At least it's a setting I was worried something is wrong with the car but it's still stupid if you ask me. In any other car I have driven, no matter what mode you're in if you manually toggle any setting such as steering or suspension it would keep all other settings according to what they were and just change that setting you altered individually.

Maybe it shows they think a bit more in Ford when in Sport+/Track they don't allow relaxed/numb steering setting? Precise steering response is what you want in those modes. It's true it lacks 10 thousands combinations like BMW's have, but in the end there's not many combinations missing - comfort steering in sport modes and sport suspension in normal modes, Drive for automatics with sport suspension.

From my understanding it has something to do with the magneride. In Mustangs without it you can change the selectable steering independent of the mode.
