Steeda Clutch Spring - Better?

Absolutely. You can feel what the clutch is doing, and when it is engaging. It’s a much more traditional clutch pedal feel

Is a broken perch something to look out for? I can’t remember ever hearing about one. Does the likelihood increase with a steeda spring?

My understanding is the Steeda Perch is made of better material then the OEM one.

I have the Steeda spring and perch in my Bullitt and the quality of both appear to be very high.

Has anyone done no lift shifts after installing this? See attached and no I’ve not called Steeda but I’ve seen some other listings that say not for Mach 1 due to potential no lift shift strategy issues.

I called Steeda before buying. They advise no issues and have these installed on at least one of their own Mach 1s. Feel free to call and confirm though. Nice folks easy to get hold of

IMO unless they changed the pedal assembly design, it should drop right in. For the low cost I think it's worth a try. It's not an earth shattering difference, but I think it makes the clutch a little easier to modulate.

The 2019 GT350 changed its assembly, its possible the Mach1 uses the same assembly as the 2019+ GT350.

Yeah, I couldn’t see there being an issue with NLS with a Steeda spring/perch installed. Stab the throttle, snatch some gears and don’t let up until you either, win the race or cross the finish line.

For the low cost I think it's worth a try. It's not an earth shattering difference, but I think it makes the clutch a little easier to modulate.

If the spring and perch don’t give you what you’re looking for, take total control of your clutch and dial it in with a Hitmaster Clutch Hit Control System.

Ford could have very easily given the end user the ability to adjust the hydraulic clutch to their liking, but nooooo! Thank God somebody had the foresight to make that option available to me.

Just when removing the OE spring, the perch sometimes can get compromised - the replacement from Ford is more expensive so we offer a more affordable package.

Thanks for the info. I’m going to get this ordered and installed before the car comes out of storage in a few weeks. This forum ends up costing me more and more money every day
