Steeda closed CAI?

Real world data would be nice. Unless something comes out between now and then, when my powertrain runs out I plan on putting the new modular inlet Edelbrock 2650 on my car. Since it uses the stock airbox, this might be a nice upgrade to nix some inlet restrictions.

I will have to see what kind of testing we have with the stock CAI - we did that with our previous version, let me inquire

I ended up grabbing one. Gonna compare my already tuned setup on stock intake vs the new one via dyno. Granted the dyno I already have will be from a different day but will be same dyno / same environment.

I did ask about the dry filter option but was told it could not be swapped so I may just grab an AFE dry flow to replace it.

I wouldn't say useless but I do get the idea. I'm getting Vibrant 1794 resonators TIG welded the day of the dyno to tone down my catted ARH long tubes and Corsa Extremes setup so will see if can get an extra early pull in.

“we do not have an intake tube for the CJ with the oval throttle body to match up with the new closed CAI lid. The standard intake has a round throttle body, the CJ requires an oval one. Once we have a tube made up the closed lid will be going back on the Bullet.”

How much difference does a larger MAF diameter really make, especially if the tube right before it is significantly smaller? Is it really pulling in any more air?

The inlet area before the Steeda MAF is actually larger. The upper lid on this new kit is different from the OE piece.
