The S650 has a bunch of under body panels, but I can’t imagine they weigh all that much. It also has steel front fenders instead of aluminum like on the S550.
Car and Driver lists two different weights for the Dark Horse in the articles I found. It looks like manual to manual, the DH is 130 lbs...
My God, some of you guys apparently missed the numerous posts stating that you can't compare times from different years. The track conditions and weather are different, and those variables can account for large time differences. Not to mention that we don't know if the drivers were the same.
Likely different drivers, and they were run on different days with likely different weather conditions. These comparisons are fun, but comparing times from different years isn't really viable because of how much difference the conditions can make in lap times.
I know you're joking, but the DH is, for all intents and purposes, mechanically the same car as the Mach 1. It just has different sheet metal and some iPads. The GT350 had a completely different engine which, IMO, makes it much more unique.
I like the Dark Horse, but I don't think it's worth a penny over MSRP--in fact, even though I'd consider buying one, I'm not even sure I think it's worth MSRP for the HP cars. 70K is a lot of money for a Mustang, regardless of capability. In any event, there are plenty of Dark Horses listed at...
I'm happy we still have a RWD, manual, ICE Mustang, but like someone else said, I think the S650 is pretty low effort. It's a reskinned S550 with a new dash. They didn't even change the door panels or other interior bits--it's just the dash. As a result, I don't see anyone trading in an S550...
I was thinking the same thing! 😆
The funny thing about that was that Tesla was still rated higher than every single American manufacturer except Buick, and Ford was WAY down the list.
Good Lord, did anyone on here actually watch the video or look into the channel?!? "ChargeDrive" has 56 videos that are all essentially the same thing--shitting on EVs. This is not a legitimate or credible news outlet, it's a YouTube channel that even has a disclaimer stating that the "channel...
Motor Trend tested an A10 Dark Horse and it ran a [email protected] It also posted the best braking performance from 60 mph of any production car they’ve ever tested, and a 0-60 of 3.7 (for those interested).
Sure, but not until after they deny your warranty claim and you take them to court to try to get it fixed under warranty, spending more time and money in the process than it would’ve cost to pay another shop to do it or to do it yourself.
That's what I see in it as well, and I have the same feelings about that car. Hopefully the real deal will look better, but what we've "seen" so far isn't getting my hopes up.
Sorry, I never realized I forgot to update this thread. Alex was able to get everything ironed out for me, and I haven't had any issues with the car since *knock on wood*.
Hey everyone! I have a Frankenstein exhaust that I needed to get welded together, and while it sounds awesome, due to the way the parts were welded, I have a part that is vibrating against another piece of metal. I am running the Ford Performance side exit exhaust with a Magnaflow Tru-X cut...
