Hi,
For those who have a square setup wheel for the street/track.... Any reason not to go with rear size 315/30 and go 305/30 all 4? Wheels will be 19x11 ET 50.

Is there a gotcha? This is for my R, most likely will do Pilot Sport 4S for all around town driving (maybe wet track day?), and keep my carbon wheels for track..

Many thanks for any feedback.

There's not really a "gotcha" except no tire is available in a 315/30 but the SC2. If you want 4S, 315 isn't an option anyways. And contrary to popular belief, the 4S is not the end-all-be-all tire for this car. There are other options. Just throwing it out there.

^^^ yes, most who do a square setup usually opt for the 305 setup.

What else is out there that is worth considering for maybe a bit of discount? I was looking at Conti's which have a 70 bucks special, but not really trusting Coopers and all those... I had Generals on my BMW once, horrible tire.
Thanks

On my Rs (when not using SC2's), I run 325 rears and 305 fronts. Works perfectly fine. The 325s stick out a bit on some brands, but the Conti's I had were flush.

Im running 315 square sc2. Only reason was 315s were on sale lol. Tbh, i dont see much performance differences between the two sizes. I personally like slightly stretched tires for track use, so id prefer 305s over 315.

I've run through many a set of 315s and 305s on track. The 315s will be a tad faster (depends on the tire, compound, temps, track, etc.), but do typically bulge a tiny bit on an 11in rim.

The 305 Cup2s are a bargain right now. Grab em

I'm running 305 (f) and 325 (r) Bridgestone Potenza S700A on my R's carbon rims for the street. They aren't as sticky as the Michelin's but they greatly reduce trammeling.

Thanks for the insight. I need some more street friendly tires, I do have my carbon wheels with relatively new SC2's (one track day )... I was looking for some options for more wet/street friendly tire. I would use them on the track if rain is predicted, or else I would just swap my wheels to the CF's.
