I usually drive the roads around town in casual mode, then while I'm waiting for the light to change to get on the freeway I put it into sport+...

Including in city traffic? Like, if you're at a stop sign, and there's another stop sign fifty yards down the road, and then another stop sign fifty yards down the road after that, and then a red light 100 yards after that... what's the point of having it in Sports+?
faster throttle response. more fun...

since it started warming up i've been exclusively using track mode with advancetrac off.

Does having the Traction Control ON negate the the benefits of the other 2 sport modes to some extent?

Every mode from 'inclement weather' to track has some form of stability control activated. There's nothing to gain by turning it off unless you're the kind of person that doesn't like having the fun (a.k.a. dat slip angle) reigned in. Track mode's curtains are deep and relatively transparent. I've been turning TCS off less and less lately, and I thought it'd be the other way around.

So, Track-Mode + Not Disabling = :D

Can anyone clarify if traction control is off in sport mode on a gt premium manual?

It is not off by default in Sport Mode, just reduced in its response/reaction.

You can still turn either traction control or the full advance trac off completely with the traction control switch after you put the car in sport mode though.

You need to manually disengage it by holding the TCS OFF switch for seven seconds.

That turns off advance trac completely. Traction control is turned off by just hitting the switch once.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I'm a little confused. Is Sport mode strictly a steering option? Or is it a drive option as well?

How do you engage these options? Is it just toggle switches? Speaking of a GT Premium with Performance Pack, if that's relevant.
