Would a tune do the same thing?
You would have to ask the tuner. I've seen mixed feedback and features from people with tunes on here. Like Bama's tune is overriden as soon as you leave the default 'normal' mode.

I have a base model. i have all three steering modes and double tapping tc gives me sport mode.
Sport definately has better throttle response, and it also lets you get a little more sideways and burn a little rubber on the line. I can also hold the button to turn everything off which feels like sport mode but with the ability to burn rubber and do donuts lol.

It's fast in any mode.

I agree.

In Normal, Sport+ and Track modes, flipping the Traction Control toggle switch up once generates a "Traction Control Off" message. After letting the message clear, holding the toggle up for an additional 4-5 seconds generates an "Advance Trac Off" message.

In Track mode, the Traction Control warning light remains lit regardless of whether or not one attempts to turn Traction Control (fully) off and/or back on (to the Traction Control setting used in Track mode). This agrees with....

none of the modes fully disable TCS unless you manually choose to flick the TCS off button once.

GT Premium auto here. When using the gear shift and in S, no toggles, is that the same as D and toggled to Sport?

Base gt with advance track off is full throttle response and no assists. In other words you get full power with no assists. Premium models do not have the option to turn all assists off it will still maintain some traction in sport+

Best I can tell. Some say the throttle response is different in Sport+ but I don't notice any difference.

Just wondering, what does having traction control off add to the sport drive/steering combo?
Frankly I've never tried, probably stupid since I live in Phoenix where the need for it is limited at best.

Yes you can turn all assists off with premium. But you are right, Sport+ does still have assists.

So after reading 6 pages worth of posts.... There IS a difference in acceleration between sport and track modes? Seems implicit, but.....

Ive played around with the different modes in my GT PP 6 speed

Am I the only one that can't tell the difference at all from normal to Sport+ aside from tighter steering and less traction control? The "throttle mapping" doesn't seem to do a damn thing!

Throttle response is much improved in Sport+ mode on mine. I'd even say the difference is quite striking.

Yes. Something may be broken in yours if you really can't tell the difference.

No, there shouldn't be. I guess if you take into account having more/less traction in the different modes, your times may vary slightly. But there are no changes in power and at wot, the changes in the throttle mappings go out the window - though I think Sport+ and Track have the same throttle mapping anyway.
