Fronts stick out about 1/2 inch. Shouldn't they taper at the top? Did I install wrong or do they need to be cut to taper at the top?

This worked great. Ran pins 3,4 and 7,8 to rca cables to the rear. Got 3.2v at max volume. Ms-8 sees it and calibrated just fine with this method

Anybody know if you run pins 7 & 8 to RCA cables (positive wire), what do you do with the negative wire on the RCA cable? Ground? Tape off?

You might be right. I replaced the speaker. But yes you could disconnect the wires from the amp as it has it's own run from the amp

Not too sure if this should go here or not, but since some have asked the plastic piece on the center dash pries up with a little force. 4 tabs hold it in plus 2 tabs in the front that go under the center gauge dash piece, you will need to pry that back to get those tabs out. Then you will see...

You will have to run a wire to the pillar where the tweeters are. They are wired off the middle sized speaker now, not a separate dedicated wire from the amp/head unit
