Sports Mode Not Working Properly

I have a 2014 Mustang with CVT transmission. I usually put it in srots mode so I can shift. Recentlly, it stopped letting me downshift thought shifitng up isn ot a problem.

Not sure what the problem is. Has anyone epxerienced this and what is the resolution?

It's a 2014 automatic which you can put into sports mode and shift up and down.

A CVT is constant velocity, since 2012 or so mustangs have auto's with select shift
