I traveled that area a good bit when my sister lived in Charleston. Don't know how anyone can do 60mph there without getting ran over lol.Disabled Vet and driving a Mustang while getting pulled by a Ford guy. Yea, don't waste your time on the lottery. It was the planets all aligned correctly!
And yes, thank for your service!
Just yesterday I was driving in to work at 6:50am. I was cruising down I-20 with the needle dead on 70 in a 60. Granted, I think it reads a few MPH fast. But I take note than no one is tailgating me, passing me or no one in front of me. Hmmm, a pleasant drive it! 400-500 yards further I notice the State Trooper behind me to my right. Screw it, held my speed and kept heading to work.
Next exit, he took it to get on I-77.
All hell broke loose then! It looked like the pace car pulled into the pit row at Indy. I stuck to 70 and I was getting passed like I had pulled to the side and stopped.
Time to install forced induction without doing OPG
Depends on how the situation is handled by the DRIVER who was pulled over for cause... The Police have to have just cause to initiate a stop, and 95% of the time drivers know exactly why they were pulled over...Any other person would had got a reckless driving ticket plus a 30-60 license suspension. At least in NJ.
You must not get pulled over a lot. I skidded my tires to avoid a hidden one way road down the shore, and the cop thought I was drunk (2 am coming from a bar who wouldn't) and I got a careless driving ticket. This is after 16 years without a ticket.Depends on how the situation is handled by the DRIVER who was pulled over for cause... But... they play stupid...
Most don't realize, if you're just honest with the Officer and apologize, it's goes a lot further than (as some do) blatantly lie as to the infraction.
If you were doing 75 in a 55, just say so and apologize. If you're driving record is clean or doesn't have anything major, your registration is up to date and insurance is in check - usually the Officer will let you go with a warning OR a non-moving citation that won't jack your insurance rates or penalize your DMV record.
Yes, it does happen.![]()
