i do not want to lower the car at all. i just want to replace the stock shocks and struts with aftermarket. a couple of the kits i saw are for lowered cars.
i'm looking at replacing the rear shocks, rear springs and struts.
do i need to replace the rear springs?

You can just do shocks and struts without replacing your springs, in fact its a great idea.

bilstein, ford performance, and Koni all make direct replacements. Koni has a few options so it depends what you want.

I have Bilstein B6 and they are great. Excellent body control.

As suggested Ford Performance Track Shock and Strut Kit. The value and performance is unmatched. You’ll get new OEM strut bearings and jounce stops and GT350 valving with the FP Track Kit, not to mention it’s all OEM Ford parts.
I’ve had this setup on my 2015 GTPP since 2018, it’s flawless and transformed the Powder Puff soft ride into a real muscle car feel. I did use Steeda Ultralite linear springs with the FP track kit.
Search my post from 6-7 years ago, I was one of the first to use this setup.

I've had the Track Handling kit for about 1.5 years myself, so I'm gonna echo everyone else recommending them.

I had Bilstein B6 struts and shocks, the struts started leaking with fewer than 5k miles. I swapped them for Ford Performance Track struts and shocks.
That's exactly how many miles I have on mine. Thanks for the warning. Will keep an eye on them.

I would think the track handling pack dampers would be overdamped on the stock marshmallow springs?

Are you setting your car up for street duty, track or drag?

daily driver with some spirited driving
i'm open to going to a strip, but not making it a regular thing...so, yeah mostly street use.
the ride now is kinda harsh on some of these roads and freeways. when i drive on certain areas on the freeway, it sounds rough, like a clunking noise..hard to describe. smooth roads are great
