Why does Ford Performance not sell the FP Street Handling pack shocks separately, while you can get the FP track shocks alone so you can use springs of your choice vs the whole track package. Or the FP street shocks are just essentially PP shocks? Street Pack for base GT to go closer to PP1, while track pack for base and also PP1 to go further...?

That is my understanding yes.

The street shocks and struts are PP dampers painted blue. IMO the track shocks should be on the PP as standard and would really raise the handling level of the car from the factory.

I will second. The PP1 shocks are an embarrassment/disappointment, all the more galling for the so-called premium price Ford has the nerve to charge. If Ford had any sense the PP1 car would be equipped with the Ford Performance Track shocks.

So would adding this to stock pp1 car be a worthy investment and handling improvement?

Yes, definitely. Handling and ride.
$518 not bad. I assume this would be something I could do myself without need for spring compressor etc.? Not interested in lowering car. Would I need a 4 wheel alignment after install?

You would definitely need the spring compressor unless you bought a full preassembled kit. If you use your stock springs, the full range of compliments you normally see on here won't apply but it will be better than what you've currently got equipped - no drop though. Yes, definitely a 4 wheel alignment after install.

You can rent spring compressors from auto stores. I’d get at least a 5lb hammer and extra splined bolts in case you damage them getting them out. Can’t remember the part name.
