Shelby wide body kit

I'm thinking about sending my car to Shelby America to get the Shelby wide body kit done. Has anyone done it, how long did it take it once the car was delivered to Shelby. And did you like the results?

When I went to the Shelby American Museum for a tour, they stated 2 years for a wide-body. But then, I believe we have a forum member that received his early this year after a long wait. I'm looking forward to his responses to your questions.

They said a spot would be open in 9-12 months. So I went ahead and added myself to the waiting list.

That's about right with transportation.

I didn't realize they still did this, curious if anyone has done it yet. I've only seen the fathouse black one in pictures.

I wasn't aware you could just send a car to be "widebodied". I think you have to purchase one of their "packages" and get a widebody as an option on top of that.

They do have a standalone widebody option, although some of the language says for CSM vehicles. Here’s all the different Mustang packages they offer

Yea i thought it could only be applied to a CSM package or CSM car.

Every Shelby widebody picture I’ve seen looks great, wish they would offer it as a true standalone as a way to get a CSM. I would consider it as I’m sure many others would.

We originally were getting the Widebody only but we decided to add the Signature Edition as it was cheaper because they deduct for the 19 inch wheels and tires. Wide Body comes with 20 inch. That gets us a CSM Plus I got a great wife that green lighted the deal.

That's awesome. I just never saw the need from a performance section since you can run a 325 square setup on GT350's with the stock body and the right suspension/ alignment/wheels.

I like the look of the Widebody. Have see a few in person and at SA last year. Not a need for sure, just a Want.

So, it sounds like you can get the widebody as a standalone without a CSM if I’m reading your comment correctly?
